About
Solarpunk is a survival game in a technologically advanced world of floating islands. Alone or together with 4 friends, you can construct buildings, grow food, craft gadgets and explore distant islands with your own airship.
Use sunlight, wind and water to create an energy system and automate your processes like gathering resources and watering your plants.
Design your dream home base with a wide range of materials and decorations. You’re free to build cozy spaces, add tiny details, and make your island feel just like home.
These buildings were crafted by our amazing community in the demo!

Generate electricity using wind and solar energy. Weather conditions affect how much energy you produce, so you’ll need to plan ahead. Store energy in batteries and use wireless power to keep your base running smoothly.

Play solo or with friends. Everyone has their own inventory, and you can decide whether to build something together or create your own little corner in the sky.

In Solarpunk, you live in symbiosis with animals. There is no exploitation, only coexistence. Pigs, for example, will dig up truffles if treated well. Growing fruits and vegetables is your main source of food. Plant seeds in the ground and harvest them once they’re fully grown.

Automate your tasks using transport drones to gather resources, giving you more time to build and explore your skybound home.

Each player can build their own airship. Use it to travel to surrounding islands and discover new resources.

good game
Geiles Spiel, was soll ich sagen?

I really enjoyed this one despite fighting with some nitpicks and bugs! It took me about 30 hours to complete, but I would love to see more, and I'm happy to hear the roadmap has plans to expand the game. While more decorations will be fun, but I would especially love to see more tech, more islands and terrains to explore, and more airship capabilities (onboard inventory, eventual automatic flight paths, etc.) A toggle-able grid-based snapping feature for some objects (like grow boxes) would also go a long way. An obvious, notable lack is the "punk" part of the movement that is the game's namesake, so something like Stardew Valley is a more solarpunk survival crafting experience than Solarpunk. While not a total let down, it does make the name "Solarpunk" feel somewhat hollow, used more for signaling a popular aesthetic than any meaningful message. I have no idea if storytelling elements are on the roadmap at all, but there are opportunities to throw out hints about the state of the world as it exists in Solarpunk that could strat to elevate this game to live up to its namesake, even if it's just through flavor text and letters tucked away in loot boxes. On the more practical side, there are some annoying and potential progression-stopper bugs to work out like disappearing inventory items (especially dropped items), unhelpful tutorial text (like the Controllable Logic Block explainer), and some odd UI issues (personal inventory slots added with the backpack and expansion aren't accessible from container inventory screens). All that said, it's still early in the game's life, so I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes and picking it back up in the future when more updates expand on this little gem.
I can't believe how not fun the flying is. Unfortunately, I've played a bit too long to request a refund. But I'm definitely done here.
Considered a full release game, but tons of bugs that pull you from the immersion, especially with flying. Also, wished they optimized the gameplay better for co-op. For example, I wished they allowed multiple people to ride in the airship at once. Smaller complaints, but you won't receive achievements if it is not your world, and character customizations seem to not do anything. This game requires more work and should've been labelled as early access.
The word for me is frustrating. The game starts putting up walls to progression very quickly, and the walls are fairly tedious. There are limited amounts of mining nodes and seeds, and much of the game is either harvesting wood and replanting, mining ore, or waiting for crops. I have chopped down a whole forest three times over just to build a basic house on the starter island and the materials to get off the starter area. The curve sort of makes me feel like theres not much to this game. I love the theme and the vibe, but the whole "solar" idea is barely explored.
