Cool concept, sad it turned out the way it did. Just not enough content as others have said. Getting spin reduction items is just an insta win, which is such a shame because the feel of the control of the beyblade is very well done, but just does not matter when you get a power up and insta win with the correct builds, ending the game in about 10 minutes
I do like this game, I really do. But there are "levels" which seem to be challenges, you get random things added from obstacles, losing all your money at the end of each day, not gaining XP from battles and even a random insta-kill dog paw. You can not choose to add/remove these, whatever is selected will be there the entire run. I worked through several of these, they were irritating but doable. Then I got to a level where you don't even get to control the battle. I have been stuck on this stupid level for ages now in the hands of the auto battler. You run out of money and your run is over.

First of all - Crumpet. The game itself presents an interesting concept. There’s a really solid foundation here for a roguelite, and I genuinely find myself enjoying playing it. However(!), and this is a pretty BIG “however”... In its current state, the game simply doesn’t feel like a complete product. The system you’ve created is an excellent foundation to build upon, and if the game had been presented as something that was "still in development", I probably would have been much more forgiving about it. There’s a strange disconnect between what the developers and game designers brought to the table and the feeling that, at some point, someone simply “gave up” and released a product that feels more like a promising demo than a finished game. And no - you don’t necessarily need some huge, elaborate story. Your game can absolutely have the same level of narrative depth it currently has. That’s a perfectly valid design choice. But that doesn’t change the criticism that the game feels unfinished, even by roguelite standards. There’s so much that could still be added: more parts and mechanics that meaningfully affect combat, additional arenas, an endless mode, or a greater emphasis on challenges with actual rewards for completing them beyond what exists right now. And that’s exactly why, in my opinion, the game feels like missed potential. I’m still leaving a positive review because I genuinely hope the people who worked on this game understand that I do think what they’ve created is creative and interesting, and that there’s clearly been real effort put into it. But please - don’t abandon this as the final product.
Currently, there isn't much to the game. If you played the demo you played the full game. Very barebones and its easy to just create the best top and run through the game. I doesn't tell you what you unlock and each story ends the same just different modifiers, which some are just unfair. Blade design is cool, but you end up just running the same thing every time. No stat screen to tell you info about your top Customization is very simple You get about 1-3 hours of entertainment out of it.
On fait le tour du jeu en 10 minutes
Sure there is less content and variety than many other roguelikes, but for less than the cost of a pack of crumpets it gave me a good bit of enjoyment. It definitely hits the power fantasy of being an amateur blader finding the pieces to make your god combo and beat all your opponents. Worst case scenario you can look at the game as free, runs are so short and you can get almost everything you could want out of the game before the 2 hour refund period. I will not be refunding though out of respect for the devs and this fun bey- I mean Slayblade experience they have given us and hope for the future that they add more content even tho it is not at all expected for the price point.
For anyone thinking it will be some large adventure, it is not, however I feel that this can be turned into one if they decide to make a sequel, or something that expands on this concept. There is just not enough "Battle spinning top" games around that I've seen so far, and this has been one of the fun ones. In a nutshell, a good short and sweet game that can be enjoyed for what it is. A one shot adventure game with some wacky modifiers.
The game felt like a demo Theres modifiers after you beat the first run but that is really boring I thought the game would go on for a lot longer than it did, and it was incredibly anti climatic when it didnt deliver on that It was fun for a moment but only a moment
i tried the demo and thought it would be fun on full release but it in the end the game got nothing new and in the long term is boring movement during battles feel slugish movement while running around the town is annoying (moving my mouse all the way to each side just to be able to see around the building)
