Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Your chosen leader will endure across the Ages, with a unique ability that can help reinforce or pivot your strategy from one Age into the next. For the first time in franchise history, leader selection is separate from your civilization, giving you the freedom to create all-new strategies by mixing and matching gameplay bonuses.

Reviews
Civilization VII is an amazing strategy game that brings a fresh and exciting experience while keeping the classic Civilization feeling. The new mechanics, beautiful visuals, and huge replayability make it incredibly addictive!
I like the three ages change! There, I said it. While there are still things I am getting used to, and UI I don't love. This is a dang good game. Breaking up the ages makes for less power creep and challenges outside of the opposing civs one must face, a feature I really liked in Civ 6. I enjoy the game already and am excited to see what they have cooking up for updates to come.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 24: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I have **21 hours** in Civilization V, **108 hours** in Civilization VI, and **418 hours** in Civilization VII. That alone shows how much more I've enjoyed CIV7. One thing I've noticed is that whenever I start a game in Civilization VII, I almost always play it through to the end. That wasn't the case for the previous games. Although Civilization VI introduced some great mechanics like **Heroes & Legends** and **Secret Societies**, I never really liked its cartoony art style—especially after playing Civilization VII. The graphics in VII are absolutely stunning and make the game much more enjoyable visually. I honestly think that once someone tries Civilization VII, especially after the massive **Test Of Time** update, it will be hard to go back to the older games. I also love the new Age system, where you can play as a different civilization in each Age. It lets you experience many different playstyles in a single campaign. At the same time, if you prefer, you can stick with one civilization throughout all Ages while adopting another civilization's Special buildings/Units. Being able to pair any leader with any civilization also adds a lot of variety. On top of that, experimenting with different Mementos in each Age keeps every playthrough fresh. Another thing I really enjoy is how cities feel more alive and densely populated as you construct more buildings and assign more specialists. **Suggestions:** * I'd love to see Civilization VI features such as **Heroes & Legends** and **Secret Societies** return in Civilization VII. * Add a more realistic and impactful **United Nations** system that creates greater diplomatic pressure. * Some community mods significantly improve the UI, menus, and buttons. It would be fantastic to integrate some of those quality-of-life improvements into the base game officially. **Leader and Civilization Suggestions:** * Harun al-Rashid — Science and Culture focused. * Abd al-Rahman I — Expansion and Military focused. * Abu Ja'far al-Mansur — Military and Economy focused. * Mu'awiya ibn Abi Sufyan — Diplomacy and Military focused. * Khalid ibn al-Walid ("The Sword of God") — Military focused, with powerful cavalry bonuses& Movement. * Mehmed II (Muhammad the Conqueror) for the Ottoman civilization. * Add the Umayyad Emirate of Al-Andalus as a civilization, with its own unique Wonder and a unique military unit called the **Mubarizun (Champions)**. * Ibn al-Haytham as a Great Scientist-style leader focused on science. * Aurangzeb Alamgir for the Mughals. **Peace Treaty Suggestions:** * Demand gold or tribute. * Request the transfer of a Wonder. * Transfer ownership of selected resources. Overall, Civilization VII is an outstanding game, and I highly recommend it.
No idea why this game received a bad wrap on release. Its clearly the next evolution of civ. Yes some things are different, and some things might be over simplified, but its an approachable game. Its fresh and familar, and I would reccommend for old and new players alike. Looking forward to future expansions. P.S. the infinate scrolling bug is annoying, but any seasoned civ player is used to it!
I liked playing the game.
XXXX
I think Civ 7 turned out great even though it has taken more than a year to get to this point. I even thought it was ok when it was first released even though the criticisms it got at the time were very valid. I also played civ 4 and 6. Civs 5 and 6 improved on 4 by getting rid of unit stacks for instance and 7 has improved everything I disliked about 6, like micro managing workers and the late game. What I especially love about 7 is the versatility of being able to combine leaders and civs, along with selecting mementos. I also like the age transitions and the flexibility these all bring after the recent changes. It's really great. Does this mean that the game is perfect now? No it isn't. It could still use more improvements but the gameplay is very solid. If you can get it with a discount then by all means buy it. Too bad we have to start to pay for DLC's now even though I pre-ordered the most expensive bundle. But then again they're extra content so I do not have to buy them. I'll probably wait for future discounts because there is still much more to explore now. At the time of writing I would like three big things to be improved, apart from more UI improvements. These are: 1. I still find the map very cluttered and unclear, and my biggest annoyance is that when you have a lot of units on the board, it’s hard to tell which one is currently selected. The yellow ring around a unit isn’t enough when many tiles are occupied by districts, buildings, etc. 2. I don’t think the way you win with victory points is ideal. It doesn’t give you a sense of achievement. This is especially true for the space race—I win more often based on points than by actually winning the space race. It’s also a bit strange that you can actually win in two different ways. I would ask Firaxis to decide between sticking to a victory point system or go for hard win conditions like winning the space race or conquering all the capitals. My preference would be the latter. 3. Remember the map and other setting of the previous game. Concluding I would like to say that I find it a solid game now if you're willing to be open-minded to its changes compared to previous versions.
