Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.71/day in the week to Sep 3 → 2.14/day in the week after.

New Eula means I don't want to reinstall no longer
yea this aint it i can appreciate the work and effort put into this but its not fun its confusing because i dont know what these future techs are and the tech tree is a spiral instead of linear i like the idea neat ideologies cool art and units just doesn't work and i lost interest after 4 games it seems like the Devs did too

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 8: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1301.57/day in the week to Jul 25 → 1.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

True, one needs Rising Tide for the game to be in a playable state but seeing as it is in this day and age common practice for AA, AAA and AAAA to need at least half a dozen DLC and even more patches over several years... Not really an argument anymore. I really like the Tech-Web and the freedom it gives to 'roleplay' in early and mid game, while the different uniqe affinity units allow it for the end game. The terrain generation is in my opinion the best out of all Civ games I played, especially on large or massive maps. Only real problem I still have is that even with the fixes Rising Tide brought, the A.I. is still kinda derpy and rather easy to beat, even on Apollo. Diplomacy is also rather underwhelming. But hey, still better than CivVII, right? :-)
this game taught me why I should never pre-order a game ever again
One of the many mediocre efforts that marketing branded as "a spiritual successor to Alpha Centauri". Laughable writing and the bizarre choice to have almost all voicing be done by a single weak, blandly-accented actress, as well as the utterly generic, unimaginative design of the alien planet (which doesnt even get a name) stand out as the game's major flaws. The AI is weak and game balance is laughable, but thats standard for Civilization games (Which is why we only buy them on sale after the community mods make them what they should have been). All that said, the game is stable and pleasant in the sound and graphics categories, and I really like how POWERFUL the player feels in this one. And though lots of the voiced writing is a swing and a miss, some of it really evokes the raw appeal of optimistic science fantasy, albeit probably by accident, given how the UNVOICED writing reads. The unintentional comedy in that subsection is simply unforgettable: the faction leaders, rather than being flawed, passionate exemplars of human virtue, are fanfic-level examples of what small, stupid people think smart, successful people are like. The tech tree is full of worthless technologies with names so basic and inappropriate (a midrange technology of a spacefaring people is just called "computers") that you'd think an AI was used over a lunchbreak, but this was slopped out by actual humans. Anyhow, give it a go on a giga-sale - great for kids to learn 4X, and there are a few gems worth of moments to be found. In spite of its mediocrity, I can see the game that I WISH this was, which is more than can be said for most forgettable spinoffs
Decent enough game, if you like the civs franchise you'll like this even for a while but for sure not the best. I've played and finished 3 campaigns and the only issue i really have is it doesn't feel like you're colonising a planet but rather just setting up the outposts or something despite what some of the campigns may have you think. Also they're very quick, you can finish a victory or more in a day on max settings, once you sort of have yourself set up you just steamroll. The english with thick indian accent is annoying as hell if you're gonna speak english have it be an english, american or even hell an australian. If you're gonna speak indian have them speak indian with subtitles or something, subnautica bz suffered from that and many other games around the time idk why. The factions are all the same but you sorta "evolve" into 3 different races with 3 hybrid races in between you can also opt for later which i think was neat. All in all the game is average as hell, it's easy, short and abandoned (i've experianced no bugs even playing mid 2025) but i think it still sits above civs 6 and 7 (lots of people will disagree with this and fair enough but i really hated the cartoony non-serious infantalised civs 6 and civs 7 speaks for itself so this is my say on the matter), it plays a lot like 5 and that's what really drew me in and got me to play it. It's a difficult decision but i think it's worth the play if you like these games so i'm gonna go 6.5/10 and give it a positive review. It is currently worth 12 bucks AUD something like 6 bucks USD so i mean you literally can't make a mistake buying it for that price you will get your moneys worth, i do not think it is worth 50 bucks aud based on the fact alone that it is a dead game. Mods are almost non existant at this point too.
honestly a 7/10 for me really enjoyed the soundtrack!, which you dont have to buy the game for, its a $20 reskin of civ 5 , if the devs were honest about it, it was basic DLC not a full game.
SHORT REVIEW : a sci-fi edition of a classic Civilization that can provide many hours of fun. With a slight learning curve, the game is slow and needs too many hours for a single play and feels quite empty. However, it can be a good choice if you both like Civs and sci-fi games.
> Gameplay ( 7.0 / 10 ) : the game is a classic Civ, where you need to develop cities turn by turn, choosing in which unit, building or technology to invest. Apart from the ocean cities and wonders mechanic, the game can feel pretty boring or funny depending on your experience to avoid wasting time or resources in some units or buildings. Affinities and units upgrade system is nice, but the whole game feels more like a mod/DLC than a complete game. > Story ( 7.0 / 10 ) : narrative is quite interesting and enough detailed, with factions and quests having a lot to read if you like the settings. While the whole story is nothing too special, it's still a nice addition that enriches the game. > Aesthetics ( 7.6 / 10 ) : generally the game has a good graphic, where unit models have many details and cities and landscapes feel really like a foreign planet, even if lacking a bit of variety. > Audio ( 8.3 / 10 ) : the whole sound system of the game is really pleasing, with beautifully composed music giving mythical and relaxing vibes while playing and sounds effects for creatures and weapons that are really convincing. As for the graphics, the audio also would have the benefit of more variety. > Difficulty ( 5.0 / 10 ) : sadly the challenge and the AI in this game leave much to be desired. While being interesting for a novice, for every player with a bit of experience the AI doesn't offer much challenge, as it often acts in weird or stupid ways; even the aliens are more of an annoyance than a threat. > Overall Rating ( 7.0 / 10 ) <
Flawed, missing features & civpedia entries, and occasionally extremely frustrating, I still have fun playing CivBE every now & again.
