14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.71/day in the week to Aug 10 → 2.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
Recomiendo solo si estas acostumbrado a los JRPG con un gameplay mas clasico y mucho mas "lento" en el sentido de avanzar. Sobretodo por su dificultad que en muchas ocasiones no te perdonara.
That little puzzle boy and the Bandou Shrine can go to he## (my fault for not realizing you could leave and save after every fight, but still). Oh, and every enemy/boss that repels phys attacks can go, too. TDE is the best ending; I don't make the rules. Great remaster. 10/10 recommend if you like when games piss you off.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 25: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Pretty fun so far could do without the random encounters tho
PEAK
Still easily the best mainline SMT, only being lesser than the two Digital Devil Saga games in my opinion. I played for many hours on the PS2 Maniax version, and only now realized I should play the "canon" version, Chronicles, for Raidou. Nocturne is an amazing classic with depth rivaling Persona and better gameplay than most other SMTs. However, as a remaster, this game kind of fails. Not only is it overpriced in my opinion, but the graphics and audio quality have barely been improved. Overall, a mediocre port of an amazing game. Also, for those just getting into Nocturne (all three of you), play Chronicles. It is the full game and the original vision. Dante replacing Raidou in Maniax is funny, but still I'd stay away from Maniax except for repeat playthroughs. (And why do they even include the original version? It's missing the Labyrinths of Amala, the "secret" bosses (unnamed due to spoilers), and the true final boss and ending.)
[9/10] - Man, talk about a glow-up! ...I mean as an entry in a franchise, not as a remaster. The previous SMT games were a pain in the neck to get through, but Nocturne was so much fun - it's the first title in the franchise that I actually, unequivocally, enjoyed playing. The star of the show is easily the Press Turn system. God I love the Press Turn system. It's such a simple and easy to grasp evolution of turn-based combat, yet the depth it provides to battles helps make the experience feel so much more engaging. I keep hearing people say that Nocturne is really hard and even claim it as "The Dark Souls of JRPGs", but I don't really see it? It's only particularly difficult if your strategy starts and ends with Brute Force (or you're playing on Hard, but at that point what did you expect). Come prepared, know what you're doing and victory is within your reach. Some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ can happen, but adapting and overcoming is how you move forward and it's such a satisfying experience. Getting my ♥♥♥♥ wrecked by Matador and then coming back to stomp him into the ground with a party made specifically to counter him is probably one of my top 5 gaming memories. Visually? It's a treat as well. Nocturne is a very moody game, the environments and lighting doing a great job at setting the oppressive, otherworldly tone. You can tell it's a PS2 game at its heart, but the style itself is so distinct and ageless that it doesn't really impact the potency of the atmosphere in the slightest. Oh and the demons? Great! Love them. A high variety of designs - from cute and conventional to creepy and badass - all with 3D models and animations. You're bound to find a favorite. Coming across a new one through random encounters or fusion was always a pleasant surprise lol Where it falls a bit flat though is the narrative. The story itself isn't bad, don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it, it's just that... Replacing the Law/Neutral/Chaos paths with Reasons is a neat idea and provides new material for philosophical debates about one's own alignment, yeah, but I can't help but feel disappointed in how it was implemented. In SMT I & II, your alignment would change your experience in a way that wasn't too groundbreaking, but still offered something new: differing bosses, exclusive equipment and allies, divergent story beats and so on. In Nocturne? You might skip a boss, hear a line or two of slightly altered dialogue and get a different ending cutscene. That's it. Replaying this game for the sake of collecting all of the endings (which you need to do if you want the corresponding achievements btw) became such a slog since there's so little replay value when compared to previous entries. [strike]True Demon georg is an outlier and should not be counted[/strike] Also it's pretty poor as a remaster. The music sounds like compressed ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, while the pre-rendered cutscenes are completely untouched - still 4:3 and crusty as hell. The voice acting is nice at the very least... So, overall - SMT III: Nocturne is a great game and I love it to bits, despite the subpar "remaster". It's so close to being straight up amazing, but misses the mark ever so slightly. Still, it's an unforgettable experience that will stick with me for a long while. If you love games with lots of character and don't mind being challenged from time to time, then I think it's well worth a shot! On a discount though. 50€ for a PS2 game that's been barely touched up is... crazy.
