Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.71/day in the week to Aug 10 → 2.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

A experiencia mais miseravel que já tive um JRPG, NUNCA me senti tão odiado em um game E OLHA Q EU JOGO LEAGUE OF LEGENDS, simplesmente o jogo definitivo onde NINGUÉM TE AMA E TODOS QUEREM TE CHURRASCAR A CADA 4 PASSOS Q VC DÁ. DICA DE OURO: Baixe a DLC Chronicles, NÃO JOGUE SEM O CHRONICLES SE VC QUISER TER A EXPERIENCIA COMPLETA DESSE GAME!!

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 25: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Shin Megami Tensei 3 is a real cult classic. I'm glad it's finally gotten its' flowers of late, it was an incredibly ambitious game for Atlus to produce. There's a reason people haven't stopped talking about it for twenty years. It's one of the most influential JRPGs of the 2000s! The gameplay foundation built in this game is present in almost every Atlus RPG afterwards. The combat in this game is turn based, but it's the most satisfying and fast paced turn based combat on the market. Beyond that, the game has a great sense of atmosphere and a very compelling story. The presentation is really unique, and it helps the game rock it's early 3D aesthetic in a way that still manages to impress decades later. I think the game is worth revisiting for even for fans who've played the game on PS2. From a technical standpoint, this version of the game is quite a bit glitchier (sometimes leading to visual distraction) but I found the voice acting to add a lot to the experience. I think I'd recommend it for that, as well as the more developed skill inheritance system added to demon fusion. Hopefully Atlus puts more of their back catalogue on modern hardware.
One of the best JRPGs ever made. Very cool game with great art design, deep philosophical themes and challenging gameplay. This port has some minor issues and isn't as good as it could have been at reintroducing this lost classic to the modern era but it's acceptable and a decent way to experience this masterpiece. Highly recommended.

My innate gullibility? Taken advantage of.
For starters, I seriously love this game, played it back in the PS2 era. People often praise this installment for its atmosphere alone, and I’m one of those people who agree with that sentiment (although I still prefer IV). You can hear Shoji Meguro in his earliest phase as a composer here, and believe me, the industrial rock soundtrack is solid. I can guarantee that some of the more melancholic tracks will carry a sense of familiarity for Persona fans. All of this contributes heavily to the game’s dark and oppressive atmosphere. Gameplay-wise, it’s similar to Metaphor: ReFantazio, using the Press Turn Battle System for those unfamiliar with SMT III’s core mechanic and its future installments. The fusion system is largely the same as well, so Persona fans will feel right at home. There’s nothing drastically different here, aside from the lack of quality-of-life features that later entries introduced. Some players may find the game too difficult even on Normal. One thing for sure, the game doesn’t hold your hand. Once you can fight, you’re expected to figure things out on your own. There’s no guide, no in-game manual, and very little instruction. Random encounters can feel tedious and frustrating, especially in certain areas where the encounter rate spikes. Encounters themselves are also a gamble, as enemies can ambush you from behind (ambushes grant them guaranteed critical hits). If that happens, you’d better hope they miss, or you’ll get wiped in seconds. Even if they don't ambush you, there's still a chance that they take the first turn. In hard mode, yeah you better be mentally ready because it is just asinine how often you get ambushed. Thematics aside, this so-called “remaster” is excruciatingly minimal. The only thing that truly qualifies as a remaster here is the higher-resolution textures. Other technical aspects, such as the framerate, remain locked at 30 FPS, requiring mods that uses frame interpolation to reach 60 (or you can just use Lossless Scaling but hey, modding is free). Even the PS2 soundtrack, particularly the battle themes, was compressed, and that compression still carries over into the remaster. Some skills have also been swapped around, with altered requirements to obtain them, likely a human error not a turn of direction. All in all, the game is a classic and has a following for a reason. The experience it offers is unlike any JRPG, even compared to today’s releases. That said, it still carries many of the same frustrations and missing QoL features you’d expect a remaster to fix, so this is definitely one to grab on sale rather than at full price because some smart alec in ATLUS thought it'd be a good idea to release a barely touched remaster at borderline triple A pricing.
