Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Aug 18 → 2.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 13: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

The first Sherlock was a real detective/investigation game. This one wants to be both investigation and Call Of Duty at the same time, with nonsense action moments that you can't skip ( like Sherlock being chased in the forest ). If I wanted to play an action game , I would have bought an action game.
In general, great game, but I dont think I ever had less fun playing a video game than in the temple section, and I played league of legends for a while
When Investigative Genius Collides with Poor Narrative Design (Spoiler Alert) As a reader and fan of Arthur Conan Doyle's novels, I began Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter with expectations based on the principles of deductive reasoning. The game delivers a wildly inconsistent experience; at times, it gives you a real intellectual thrill with clever deductive reasoning, and at others, it frustrates you with illogical design choices and blatant narrative inconsistencies. Here's a critical breakdown of my experience with the game's cases: 1. Abandoning Logic in Favor of Stereotypes (Case Two) The "Study in Green" case is a glaring example of prioritizing superficial excitement over logic. During the investigation, the logical evidence clearly pointed to "Marley". The conclusion that he used reverse engineering and a mechanical statue full of gears to throw a spear is a clever solution perfectly suited to the Industrial Revolution era and the genius of the Holmes universe. But the game forces an "official" solution that completely defies physics: a man with an amputated arm and his dwarf partner manage to move a massive metal statue, and the dwarf throws a metal spear that pierces a grown man's body from a distance! Relying on flimsy justifications like the "Mayan curse" cliché makes the official solution feel lazy and disappointing. 2. Wasting the Best Plot and Breaking the "Chekhov's Gun" Principle (Case Three) In storytelling and dramatic writing, the "Chekhov's Gun" principle simply states: "If you describe a gun hanging on the wall in Act One, it must be fired in Act Two or Three, otherwise it has no purpose." The game breaks this principle in the "Infamy" case with the character Orson Wilde in a blatantly frustrating manner. The script piled Chekhov's guns around him throughout the investigation, but none of them were fired in the end: The Mystery of the Gaze (Jeremiah's Death): The cinematic focus on the gaze exchanged between Orson and Jeremiah after Orson stabbed him was not arbitrary; it was portrayed as the climax. In any literary work, this scene would be the "hanging gun." If Percy (the gang leader) was the actual mastermind behind the bomb attack, as the game claims, then this gaze loses all dramatic significance, transforming from a key to solving the mystery into an empty, unexplained shot. The Burning Paper: The scene of Orson boldly snatching the paper from Holmes's hand and quickly burning it in front of him is a major event that would angry any detective. What was its content? And why did he burn it in that way? The game completely ignores this event and leaves it unresolved. The Psychological Depth: The tampering with Holmes's belongings and the intrusive interference in his cases (such as the Mary Sutherland case) were portrayed as part of a dangerous, pathological obsession with impersonating Holmes and "stealing his life." This brilliant psychological approach is abruptly abandoned in favor of framing a traditional gang, turning Percy Fleming, the professional crime boss, into a fool who risks his empire and attracts the attention of all of London's police forces for a mere personal vendetta! 3. The Trap of Physical Evidence and the Inconsistency in Character Writing (Case Four) In the "Chain Reaction" case, subtle psychological evidence is absent, and the crime scene becomes the primary evidence. The deduction space was one of the most enjoyable mechanics. The game successfully employed effective red herrings, such as the anarchist Thomas, who would seem the easiest suspect were it not for the fact that anarchists seek public destruction and don't secretly kill their partners in the sewers. However, the deeper problem lies with the true culprit, the electrician Reginald Butcher. The game falls into a glaring narrative contradiction that makes his exclusion logically justifiable for any player relying on careful deduction. The game asks you to believe that he is the mastermind who engineered a complex electrical trap and robbed an underground drain, while simultaneously showing him meticulously cleaning his shoes amidst all the chaos, reflecting a disciplined and calm approach to covering his tracks. However, in a frustrating contradiction, the game presents him as someone who suspiciously neglects his job duties, rather than being meticulously careful and diligent to avoid suspicion. Furthermore, his brazen and reckless escape from prison is entirely inconsistent with the extreme rationality and planning required to commit such a crime. Even when the player applies the principle of "evidence by absence," they will notice the complete absence of any children's belongings in the room where the electric shock occurred. While this could be attributed to the daughter receiving treatment elsewhere, the accumulation of these behavioral and material inconsistencies makes the game seem to lack a clear understanding of this character. Is he a calm and disciplined genius? Or a bewildered father acting with blind desperation and stupidity? This inconsistency represents a fatal flaw in the case's design and logical coherence. 4. Betrayal of the Original and the Illusion of Choice (Conclusion) The fifth and final case, Fever Dreams, is the ultimate blunder. As a reader of the Sherlock Holmes novels, Holmes's family is insignificant in his world and character background (with the exception of Mycroft). Stripping Sherlock of his usual cool logic and thrusting him into a contrived family drama with an adopted daughter is a frustrating departure from the essence of the character and completely alien to the world of investigation. The real downfall occurs in the final dialogue with Alice. Throughout the game, you are forced to make moral decisions (forgive or condemn), only to discover that Alice's words are merely a recap of your choices with no real impact on saving Kate or on the game's ending. The game has sold players the "illusion of choice" to conclude with a forced, linear path. Conclusion Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter offers excellent moments in terms of crime scene analysis and connecting physical evidence, but it falters badly in narrative coherence. The game ignores dramatic writing principles, abandons deep psychological plots in favor of cliché and clumsy solutions, and offers a meaningless, illusory decision-making system. It is an experience that may satisfy those seeking an atmosphere of visual mystery, but it will certainly provoke investigators who are looking for well-crafted criminal plots that do not underestimate their intelligence or ignore their own evidence.

(Français, voir plus bas) EN 🔷Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter is a detective-style game (analyzing crime scenes, finding evidence, interrogating suspects, making deductions, determining the culprit, etc.) that invites us to investigate strange crimes. ✅PROS✅ -The investigations are interesting, and some are... sordid. -The artistic direction is well done, with a special mention for the "accident" and the visual effects during the last chapter. -Multiple choices for deductions. -Watson is so cool it should be illegal. ❌CONS❌ -Too many terse mini-games. WAY TOO MANY. -Stealth... -_- -Sometimes it felt more like an Adventure game than a Detective game. -Long loading times between each change of location, which considerably slows down the gameplay, as you often have to go back and forth between the crime scene and your apartment or Scotland Yard to complete your investigation. -I didn't have time to become attached to Kate or get to know her well, which is a shame considering what happens in the last chapter. -I feel like Sherlock's personality isn't properly captured in this game. And Watson is way too cool. ⏱️DURATION⏱️10h-13h. 🔷TAGS🔷 Detective. Platformer. Puzzles. Mini-games. CONCLUSION: This is the fourth Sherlock Holmes game I've played, and I have to say I was disappointed. The overall tone is different from the others in its gameplay (too many puzzles/platforms for my taste it made me think of a bad Tomb Raider game). That said, it's not a bad game by any means, that's why I'm giving it a positive review.
