Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.43/day in the week to Jul 23 → 5.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The game is simply unfinished. There's only been a single very minor patch since they symbolically abandoned the game with the workshop update in January. NPC logic seems to break much more often, the furnishing system somehow broke too, and no matter what you WILL get consistent frame stutters because there is zero optimization. I sincerely do hope either they fix these issues or the community is willing to fix it for them because Shadows of Doubt truly is a fantastic game. There is nothing else that gives you this level of freedom. I've spent so much time in the same city that I've become as familiar with it as I have with Yakuza's Kamurocho. It's a somber experience to walk through the beautifully dull streets to a nearby bar, sit with a Gemsteader beer, and simply enjoy the cozy aspects of the game while waiting for the next murder case. I love this game, but I fear it's no longer a product worth purchasing.

Крайне сомнительное техническое состояние игры.
Everytime I try to play this game I get reminded why I don't List of bugs I've experienced Falling through elevators NPCs floating in the air through elevators NPCs having wallhacks NPCs in a perpetual loop of trying to do a task but failing due to the map generation being buggy THE SYNC CLINIC NOT ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ SPAWNING NPCs sleeping in bed's upside down. Windows being one-way Many more I have probably forgotten about over the years. If the devs kept this game in early access like they would have this would be positive since the game is actually fun, but they decided to be jewish and release it while the game is bare bones on content and infested with bugs. ♥♥♥♥ this dev team.
Я спрыгнул с крыши т.к.
A fantastic concept for a game that feels half-baked or in early access. After about 6 hours with the game after the scripted tutorial, I've gotten nothing accomplished. I'm wandering lost in a city of nigh-identical blocks. NPCs are comically unhelpful, dude's roommate has been kidnapped and he refuses to answer any questions. No prints in the apartment after breaking in to investigate. I never see the ransom note, I'm just told about it, so can't check that either. Phone number is unlisted. Note takes me to a dive bar. There's a camera to hassle me while investigating but no surveillance station to check the footage. There's a surveillance station next door to the victim's apartment but I'm having to break into the building owner's place and the security guard's place, trying to get passwords to use the PC. I have to pass time to wait for the guard to leave home to look for her code, then I have to pass time again for her to leave work. But I can't pass time because there's nowhere to do so. I sit down in a 24 hour cafe and somehow aggro everyone on the block for trespassing when it closes? I could barely find a place to wait for an hour, least of all six. As ambitious as a randomly generated city with random mysteries sounds, I don't think it works. The NPCs can't provide useful information. I've crawled through vents that literally go nowhere or lead to featureless, enclosed balconies? NPCs are constantly falling over. For an immersive sim there seems to be very little you can do. Can you play the game as a completely law-abiding detective? I don't think you can get anything done without breaking in everywhere. Can you guess a password from birthdates or other data, because so far every one has come from a sticky note, sometimes at the site. I'm giving up on my first case because I can't follow up on any of my leads.
В расследовании вышел на себя. 10/10
6 saatir bir kadini ariyorum amk karisi cik artik ortaya
I have no idea how the reviews for this are so positive. most cases are impossible to solve through any kind of deduction and just require brute force, like breaking into every apartment in the game and scanning for fingerprints or looking for everyone whose first name starts with a certain letter. I've restarted the tutorial 3 times now, and it's been completely unsolvable every time. victim made a call to an unlisted number, the number I get from checking the last call on their phone gives me a person who won't tell me anything, going to the diner doesn't help because even if I get lucky and there's a way into the back room that isn't in line of sight for someone 24/7, there is someone sitting at the computer, and even if I beat that person unconcious, it turns out that all I get from the computer is a picture of the victim eating dinner. I've read the contact list and correspondence for the victim, broken into all their contacts' homes, read all THEIR correspondence and their address book, and even started breaking into the contacts' contacts' homes, until I realised that it was probably just completely broken and gave up. really, really great idea, just not fun at all. also has the longest load times of any game I've played in the modern day, which for a game that often requires you to load every few seconds means there will be time where you're 'playing' for a half hour and actually play less than 5 minutes.
So this is more of a mixed review. But I will still recommend it because the game can be quite fun and it feels very satisfying when you find the guy and you solve the case correctly and get all the evidence required. Barging in houses, checking PCs, cracking codes, tailing people, finding receipts, checking call logs, it has everything. Also things like black market . And the city, as a procedural generated world, feels very alive : people go to work, go to eat, talk with people around, they call , check e-mails, close shops, there are homeless people, etc. However the main issue is that ... there are a lot of bugs .. and some of the mechanics do not work, and I feel the game misses some features (Like NewGame+, the last "Case" hinted at that) . Some side jobs, while procedurally generated, gives you some very limited info (how am I supposed to find one person with just the handwriting hample....) Once you figure out how and where to look, the game becomes rather easy but I think that's the idea. The more info you know, the more easy it becomes. But I believe it's normal if you understand how and where to look. My suggestion? Pick the game on a sale at least if you are on the fence. If you like detective work, You will enjoy this game a lot. Maybe the developer will come back to this game and add extra stuff that will make the game more interesting (like side jobs that gives you more intel of the main murder case for example)_... and of course fix bugs. But for what it is, the game is worth your time.
