Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.43/day in the week to Jul 23 → 5.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

i was in the same apartment when a murder happened and the killer was neither person in the apartment at the time. I hope case generation can be improved in the future, but as it stands, I think it's clear why immersive sims are often tailored and designed and not RNG
Clunky controls hold this game back massively, it reads like it could be fun on the surface but once you get into it there are awkward menus to navigate. a really strange AI that seemed to find me no matter where I cam out of vents and a really uncomfortable combat system. This experience is even worse on controller with half the pieces of evidence I collected disappearing after it had been pinned to my board. I would not buy unless it's substantially discounted, I have been sorely disappointed.

I want to love this game, the ideas behind it are great, and at it's best it's a lot of fun, and there's nothing else like it. Unfortunately this game is a technical trainwreck: - The biggest problem is the bugs. This game frequently doesn't work as it's supposed to. Quest items don't spawn (or fall through the level or something), searching for people you already have detailed info on shows no results, you progress through a case only for it to fail to load the next stage, your city generates without a sync clinic, the list goes on. - The evidence that cases start with doesn't seem to be doled out with any consideration as to how useful that evidence is. For example a name, address, or phone number is very useful information, but someone's height or shoe size is not very useful. Sometimes the cases are generated with evidence that is near impossible to follow up on, like someone's build, height, and blood type. - The game does a poor job of communicating how core mechanics work (arrests and briefcases, for example), so don't feel bad about referring back to the forums when things aren't clear. - The performance is awful. On this laptop it's basically unplayable (mostly because the lag causes inputs to get stuck), but even on competent gaming machines there are frequent hiccoughs and stutters. For what the game is, this is surprising and annoying. These are things you would expect to be addressed when moving to a full release, but it seems this game never got past these problems.

I've spent a lot of hours into this game. I love me some Detective games what makes this game so different is that like most Detective Games, Shadows of Doubt is not on rails while I love those games too, procedural generated city woth random NPCs and random Serial Killers. I get some loading issues here and there and bugs that can take away the Noir-Crime Solving Fantasy. I can live with it because of how immersive it can be when you don't encounter them. In a way, for me this game is Cozy, a game I can play while listening to podcasts or just to relax and keep my brain active. The Music and the Atmosphere that the game offers is amazing too.
