If you are looking for a mindless shooter. You will find your happiness here. game is ok. You run and shoot/cut anything that move Good after a long day and want to steam off some stress.
Sadly, although this game runs AMAZINGLY, and looks awesome when played in 2k or 4k, but has a rage-inducing bug! The game engine "THROWS AWAY" combo-key presses when stuff starts to heat up in the action. So the player ends up mashing buttons and wanting to rip someone apart for this rage-inducing bug. Key combos just don't work and you cannot heal or special attack precisely when you need it the most! (like stuck in a small room with two bosses). The game just ignores special attacks so the player has to try them four or five times in a row once the game engine gets busy (chaos on the screen). The game runs perfectly other than that. The later games in the same series are Excellent! I had to uninstall for my piece of mind and inner calm before I went forth to commit chaos. The second game is my favourite and they absolutely fixed this glitch in that game engine.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

combat gets insanely repetitive, the last 5 chapters felt like a chore
I haven't had so much fun in a long time. This game has everything, gore, fast paced combat, a variety of weapons upgrades and unlockable abilities and alternative fire modes to experiment with and spice up combat. Secrets to uncover, unlockable artworks for the character design enthusiasts. Beautiful graphics that look amazing on ultra settings on beefier gpus while the great optimization allows more modest machines to run it smoothly with a variety of graphics options to find the best solution between performance and visuals. Enviromental kills and destruction, shooting air-conditioners into short-circuited explosions or watching explosive barrels take off like rockets with variable physics never gets old. So much cool stuff and small details like slashed antiques in display cases getting severed when you swing your sword at them and exploding barrels peppering the enviroment with sharpnel and mini sources of flame, burning dark spots on walls and doorframes after the fire settles down. The game comes with a free short game about cleaning the scenes of your mayhem.
The best game in this reboot trilogy. Just good fun. Extremely satisfying sword combat and the weapons get much better by around chapter 7-8. Originally played on console a little over a decade ago and remember enjoying it and this time around I think its fantastic for what it is. A solid or maybe even high 8. If you like shooters at all, just buy it.
The game feels quite grindy by 2025 standards, though it probably didn’t feel that way in 2013 when it was released.
