We finally have the technology to realize the Pac-Man creator's original vision. A solid metroidvania with more anime girls than expected.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

i love this game the atmosphere and the movement is so good im not sure why everyone hates this i love pacman and i understand this is an odd turn in aesthetics but i personally enjoy it its not like theyll get rid of the traditional pacman aesthetic
No for $30, under no circumstances, this isn't polished or well designed enough for that. $15 at max. TL;DR it's fine enough but the random rough edges are jagged. Mixed review seems to be from that many things were fixed post launch, and mostly the only thing that's awful is pacman stuff near the end of the game. This isn't a top tier metroidvania, it's barely competent, but it's also, sadly for the ranks of the genre, kind of fine within that. Tons of things are poorly designed, and the nonlinearity has very little in the ways of gating or guiding so, to the appreciation of speed runners, you can skip most of the game, but it's also skipping the abilities that unlock a bunch of optional things. I was at the last boss at about like 30% map completion without intending to. The map and fast travel system are so convolutedly put together that there's two fast travel points that share a logical node, so if you're at one you cannot travel to another, and there's another that is literally unusable unless you use a fast-travel item, because it doesn't show up on the fast travel list and it's on a secondary map screen so you cannot nav into it. But all that said the pac man stuff is really what drags the game down. It's cute when they try to make like greater universal lore and mix n pacman, but the times you have to play as pacman are easily the worst and the game would be better if they were completed removed in every single case. I saw someone suggest the game is "dark souls hard" and anyone you see saying something like that, ignore, it is closer to mindless than hard.

Very interesting gameplay and a super interesting idea to take Pac-Man and expand it into a more modern genre, with Metroidvania being a perfect fit for one of the earliest and most popular maze games. I think the art direction really left something to be desired. It looks really rough and amateurish in a lot of places which really suprised me, because in other places, it looked really great! I guess it's subjective, but I can't help but feel that a stronger and more cohesive art direction could've really kept me playing and excited to see more of the world.
This game isn't mediocre so much as deeply 'what-it-is-on-the-box.' It;s a perfectly fine metroidvania with fun movement, frustrating combat, and baffling lore. I would be able to recommend this game to fans of metroidvanias, except the frequent pac-man 'maze levels' which are absolutely wretched in design and execution. They aren't even mazes, just platforming gauntlets with strict timers and floaty, imprecise movement. I enjoyed everything I could be bothered to play, but couldn't be bothered to keep playing it forever. Or to completion.
Unfortunately, this is one of the most boring Metroidvanias I've ever played. There's hardly any variety in terms of bosses, enemies, or even the rooms. Everything looks pretty much the same. According to the walkthrough, I'm on chapter 13 of 18, and it just felt like I wanted to finish it because it cost money. The end episode was absolute trash! Couldn´t imagine it to be any more boring and stressful at the same time. The bosses or there attacks moving often faster than yourself. The Last Bosses becoming some One Shot Attacks for the Difficulty which are very bad to recognize at some moments. Gameplay with PS5 and Xbox Controller... well what could I say.. awful in any way. Barely possible to lead your character the right way. Especially the "Retro" Sections are very frustrating. The direction Lanes didn´t Work well.
i mean its not bad
