About
Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew is a real-time stealth strategy game set in a fantastical version of the Caribbean during the Golden Age of Piracy. A place of mystery and wonder, these islands are home to pirates, vagrants, and all manner of strange folk – but the forces of the Inquisition have set their sights on these isles you call home, and will stop at nothing to eradicate your people as they seek a powerful pirate artifact buried in the region. Recruit and lead an undead pirate crew from aboard your ghost ship to outwit your enemy, striking from the shadows with both blade and sorcery to save your people.

Take charge of an infamous pirate ship and reunite its cursed crew as you fight back against the Inquisition across the multiple islands that dot the region. With eight undead crew members waiting to be revived, you can choose who to recruit to your cause, and when – there are no wrong choices, but your crew’s composition will determine how you traverse the islands, your unique experience through the narrative campaign, and what abilities you have at your disposal at any given time.
Each of your eight shipmates is an individual armed with their own unique supernatural powers and mildly unhinged personalities – use these to your advantage in clever and creative ways to overcome obstacles and enemies. Will you bring Gaëlle and her magical cannon to launch friends over walls and chasms, or will you rely on Mr. Mercury’s ability to bypass obstacles from below? Or perhaps von Presswald can simply possess an enemy guard, use him to unlock the gates, and stand idly by as the rest of your motley crew walks in? Use these and other abilities individually and in tandem, timing their executions to orchestrate intricate maneuvers and attacks against overwhelming odds.
Mix and match your crew's abilities to find your preferred playstyle among the countless synergies that you can deploy against the Inquisition. Each person’s skills are tailored to specific archetypes built around manipulating movement, operating behind enemy lines, hiding the bodies of dispatched enemies, or being particularly capable killers. Missions will limit how many crew members you can take with you, so choose your comrades wisely based on their abilities and limitations.

The forces of the Inquisition are numerous and well-armed, easily able to overwhelm your crew in a fair fight – make use of cover, darkness, and magic to neutralize your opponents without being seen as you traverse the many islands to accomplish your objectives.
Missions span across entire islands in the Lost Caribbean, and not only can you choose the order in which you tackle those missions, but you’ll also have the choice of where to arrive ashore and depart once the deed is done. Will you prioritize safety, targeting less patrolled areas that may be more distant from your objectives? Or will you seek to make haste, arriving at and leaving from more heavily guarded parts of the island to be closer to your objective from start to finish?
The various types of enemies have different strengths and weaknesses, each warranting varied strategies – what may easily distract or defeat one foe may have no effect on another adversary. From the lowly footman to the snipers hiding on high all the way to the magically linked pairs of enemies who must be killed in tandem, your foe will always seek new ways to thwart you, pushing you towards inventive new solutions.
Keep an eye on your enemies’ movements and lines of sight as you navigate the light and shadow, and make sure no-one is watching when you make that killing blow. Your crew’s abilities can complement your surroundings, as well as open up new strategies not otherwise available. Nowhere to hide? Suledie’s magic can create cover anywhere, allowing you to get even closer for the kill, or sneak past any watchful eyes undetected. Particularly attentive guards watching a path from above? Gaëlle’s cannon can launch friends (and foes) to land onto them, knocking them out at the same time.

Your ship will be your home between missions – a place where you can engage in your crew mates’ personal stories and side-quests, and perhaps more importantly, where you can make your plans to stay a step ahead of the Inquisition.
Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew takes a non-linear approach to storytelling – you can unlock new crew members in whatever order you please, and more islands get revealed as you make progress, each harboring multiple missions featuring different rewards beyond simple victory over your enemy.
There is no one designated path forward – missions always have multiple approaches available based on the team you’ve brought with you, but with such freedom of choice, there are many factors to consider. Will you temporarily avoid a more challenging mission to chase after a simpler one and gain more experience first? This may allow you to upgrade your crew’s abilities to more powerful versions that open up new paths. Or perhaps an entirely different, not-yet-unlocked crew member would be useful instead?
The Inquisition must be stopped at all costs – assemble your crew, learn their powers, and take the fight to the enemy, one island at a time. The fate of your world, and the lives of your comrades, is at stake.

Every market we collect.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

If you liked Mimimi Games' previous games, this is a confident buy. It's gameplay encourages player creativity and freedom. You can do missions with any single character alone or a combination of 2 or three. You can go full stealth or ring that alarm bell all day all night. You can swim past whole sections, go up and over infrastructure, go underneath the floor like a meercat or gopher, go straight through the front door. You can take out the lights and make stealth easier, or you can keep the lights on and pick off and avoid your opposition strategically. You can complete a lot of missions in ways that you don't think you can too. Take out a group of guards with one person. Use lying bodies to your advantage. Time your attack to take out a single guard who's being watched by a bunch of other guards. This game is extremely rewarding and satisfying for players who use their imagination and add innovation to completing complex stealth puzzles. For players who don't care to get artistic with how they approach stealth gameplay and do the exact same, tried and true method and approach to every situation over and over, they may find it repetitive and/or boring, in which case I would say you're playing the game wrong. [This game specifically.] One downside with the gameplay is that the pathfinding can be a little bad sometimes, as is with a lot of real time strategy games. Instead of walking along a path you'll dive into the water next to you or to the floor under you. Instead of going through the front door to the back door you'll go through the front door, out the front door, through the front door, out the back door, in the back door, and out the back door. This is because the maps are 3-dimensional, and it can ruin your stealth run sometimes, but with the quicksave feature that is built into both the gameplay and the story, this issue isn't so noticeable. The story of your crewmates lives are so memorable and fun to follow along with, and I highly recommend the dlcs as those crewmates as they have really good stories to experience too. I didn't like every crewmate, but like in the gameplay, you don't have to get to know them more or even use them at all if you don't want to. I didn't use the main character for most of the game, and then other characters I didn't use at all for the entire game. Player freedom at its peak here. Now the main story, with the main characters, are there because they need to be to onboard you[rself] into the game and into the lives of your more interesting crewmates. The story for the first half is pretty simple and not that interesting, pretty straightforward, but then the second half of the story actually gets increasingly and surprising more interesting, especially towards the end. Now the big but is that the last mission is bugged. I can't finish it. My objectives didn't get marked as complete after completing them in the mission, and so I cannot finish the mission. A shame because like I said, the story gets a lot better in the second half, especially at the very end. From the hours I got already from the game though, I've already been satisfied with the game to not need to play anymore anyway, but it is a bummer I'll never get to experience myself what happens at the very end of this game if this bug persists and never gets patched out.
The 3rd and final game of the real-time stealth action genre of the game studio Mimimi Games developed before they shutdown. You play as a crew of cursed pirates that are fighting against the Inquisition. (Not that Spanish one, but a fervent self righteous cult that hates anything that is cursed.) I'm writing this review as someone who as played their other two games, Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun and Desperados 3. I have not bought the dlc character packs yet. What's different this time around? -Amusingly, the classic quickload and quicksave mechanics from the previous games are integrated in the story and setting. -Unlike the previous installments, the game is played through linearly until you reach the end. This means that you can't see level badges you didn't get or replay the levels for said badges until you beat the final level. It wasn't a big deal for me in the end though. -Missions can be split among islands. So for example, Mission A and Mission B use the exact same large map, but have unique objectives located in completely different areas of said map. In the previous games, every mission was set in a unique level that was different from the rest. -The new character selection. In the previous games, outside of mods and special modes, every level had a pre-determined loadout of characters that couldn't be changed or edited. Outside of a few mission exceptions, you can now choose up to 3 crew members out of a cast of 8, each with their own 2 unique skill loadouts. This makes for a varied gameplay experience depending on who you choose. Unless you are a huge fan of this game, you realistically aren't going to play through every level 56 times to experience every unique character combination for every mission. This isn't including the two dlc characters and
the secret character.
That being said, I enjoyed the ability to choose crew members based on my needs and badge runs. -Choose you landing and exit. Previous games began and ended at the same location. In most of the levels of this game, you have option to choose where on the map your crew starts. This really only matters when the landing is closer to your current objective. As for exits, while you do have options, you usually pick the one that is either closest to the final objective or an area you already cleared out. -A VERY large badge count. The previous games had a bit over 100 unique badges across all the levels. This one has 600. Granted, a bunch of them are counted differently than usual, but a large number nonetheless. (Example: Get x amount of kills as a crewmember. There are three tiers and 8 crew members so that makes up 24 badges.) -Unlike the previous games, you select the level by interacting with a table in the hub level, The Red Marley. This is where story progressions can occur, as well as optional character dialogues between Afia and the crew. The crew tales were nice diversions in between missions that gave bits of character lore. You can also replay character tutorials here by talking with the monkey, Estelle. -Balanced alarm system. When you set off the alarm by being spotted or shooting a gun near some enemies, portions of the map would be alerted and reinforcements would come out and stay out. This time around, the alarm only alerts enemies in relative close proximity. Reinforcements only come when a guard carrying a big bell rings it. And instead of patrolling, they disappear from the map when the alert is over. This does makes the game a bit easier in some aspects and enables some cheese, but it does make sounding the alarm less punishing compared to previous games. Overall I enjoyed this game and didn't mind the story. I personally felt that Desperados 3 had the most satisfying gameplay execution mechanically speaking. I probably missed details and I'm not going to be able to cover everything, but these were the comparison points that came to mind when thinking about this game. Other reviews might go into things I didn't mention like sometimes awkward pathfinding and various bugs. I had to deal with the weird underwater map bug that occured in every level with water, but it goes went away after I restarted the level. Emphasis on almost every time I played. And if I continued a level, going to back to main menu and reloading removes the water. It might have something to do with graphical difference between the specs I have. While I personally enjoyed this installment, I'm not sure if its worth the 40 dollar price tag. I would recommend getting this game on sale to someone who enjoys the real time stealth action genre and enjoyed the previous titles.
This game is really, really great. As I assume for many others, I found out of this game after noticing the game devs were the same as Desperado 3 - which was a game with style and gameplay I liked very much. So I can't avoid to compare this two games. They brought most of the mechanics they used in Desperado III (spoiler:
Except for the AoE/multikill skills and items like bombs and such
), which was awesome. So expect the tactics and stealth(a lot of body hiding lol), as well as the varied team with a fun range of different skills. The main difference, of course, is that not only it move to the caribbean pirate setting BUT also Fantasy - so I understand this might be a negative point for some people, but imo it didn't get in the way of making this a fun game. The characters, enemies and maps for me were great, with many funny characterizations and references. I'd definitely recommend playing if that attracts you! Also congrats for the devs for making such a game you can see they made with love.
Just buy Shadow Tactics. This is worse in every way
