Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.2/day in the week to Jul 16 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It's all but abandoned don't waste your money
This game is essentially a copy of Game Dev Tycoon, but unfortunately, it falls short in almost every way. While it's fun to play, it doesn't match the quality of Game Dev Tycoon. For $5, it's not a bad deal if you're into this genre, but don’t expect more than a few hours of entertainment—certainly not 30+ hours of playtime. In my opinion, you’re better off with Game Dev Tycoon unless you're specifically looking for the series-making theme. Another issue is how generic it feels. You could easily swap 'series' for 'film' and end up with the same game. Even for other genres, changing a few graphical elements and some text would result in essentially the same experience with a different theme. The developers should have spent more time making the game stand out. For instance, introducing features like creating multiple seasons and building hype between them would have been a natural evolution—similar to how Game Dev Tycoon approached its mechanics. Another interesting idea would be expanding on intellectual property (IP) management. If a series becomes a hit, why not allow players to sell the rights for movie adaptations, merchandise, or even Blu-rays? This would not only add depth but also create a more immersive and dynamic experience for the player.

seriously inept developing how anyone can take a well tested formula and screw it up so badly is beyond me, but clearly it IS possible. needless to say i will be avoiding anything else this pillock has created. stats do not grow unless you use a trainer/save editor and training is just a cost sink for no output. hiring crew has exactly same issue as all will grow levels but stats remain stagnant. some of the bad combos are actually good and irl have high ratings. here? bad combo .....i am donning my incredulous face right now
It's just a rip-off of Game Dev Tycoon themed around TV Series, and it's a little easier. You would be better just playing Game Dev Tycoon than this crap. It takes only like 45 minutes to finish the game once you get used to it. Also, theres no mods, which makes the game get very repetitive after a few hours. Without mods, it's just boring. In conclusion, just play Game Dev Tycoon.
Series Makers is a simulation game where you start as a student at "Netklix University" in the 1980s, creating your own TV series. As you progress, you can build a studio, hire staff, and even launch your own streaming platform. The game offers a variety of research options and combinations of settings and themes to develop unique series. However, the gameplay can become repetitive over time, and some players have noted that it closely resembles other tycoon games without adding significant new features. Despite these drawbacks, if you're interested in managing a TV studio and enjoy simulation games, Series Makers provides a casual and creative experience.
