Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Selaco is a brand new original shooter inspired by classics, featuring thrilling action set pieces, destructibility, smart enemies and a fleshed out story taking place within an immersive game world. It draws inspiration heavily from F.E.A.R. in terms of action set pieces, while mixing exploration elements from Half-Life, along with some more modern features.

The story takes place during a violent invasion on Selaco, a massive space station sheltering the last refugees after Earth’s fall just a few years prior. You play as Dawn Collins, an ACE Security Captain who, with her recent promotion and high level security clearances, is digging deep into the truth behind Selaco's murky history. Before she can finish her investigation, Selaco is rocked by explosions and armed invaders.

A lengthy adventure-driven campaign
Selaco offers a massive, uninterrupted journey packed with action and atmosphere. Explore a wide range of environments in a fully connected world - no cutaways, no time jumps, just seamless momentum from start to finish.
Intense Action set pieces
Blast through your environment with impactful weapons that really leave a mark on the world. That once lavish office space, now nothing but a pile of rubble with broken paintings, smashed tables, screen, chairs, smoke, and chunks of debris.
Custom AI
Selaco’s AI was built from the ground up for dynamic, coordinated combat. Enemies communicate, flank, suppress, and adapt to your tactics - keeping pressure when you're aggressive or rushing when you're vulnerable. Hundreds of voiced lines hint at their next move, making every fight feel alive.
Full soundtrack
Selaco features an original, full-length soundtrack composed by Lawrence Steele, with over 3 hours of neon-tinged electronica spanning from high-intensity combat tracks to immersive, atmospheric soundscapes.
Adapt & Overcome
As enemies evolve and gain access to new tools, so do you. Improve your weaponry with new utility upgrades, or transform weapon behavior entirely with Weapon Kits.
Replayability
Selaco is designed with replayability in mind. Jump into Randomizer Mode to experience remixed mechanics, exclusive enemies, and fully customizable chaos. Or test your skills in Incursion Mode (coming later during Early Access), an endless survival challenge set in Deathmatch-style arenas.

Selaco is indeed magic. Rarely have I played a more refined shooter. The absolute height of Sound, Music, Level, Art design. Play it immediately, at full price, if you at all like shooters.
Selaco will kick you in the teeth and make you enjoy it. It's a shockingly complicated game built off GZDoom, featuring intense gun battles against scarily intelligent enemies, plenty of customization options, and numerous secrets to uncover. It's unforgiving and ruthless, but it's still fun at the end of the day. It might be missing the other 2 chapters of its campaign, but the chapter included as of February 2026 can take you 7-8 hours on a first run. It balances most aspects well, from its length to its shooting to its puzzle solving. Selaco is set aboard the titular space colony years after an extinction-level event on Earth. You play as Dawn, an officer in Selaco's security force known as ACES. While recovering from a leg injury at a hospital, Dawn comes under attack by an unknown military force massacring the citizens of Selaco. Against overwhelming odds, she dons her combat suit and fights to link up with surviving ACES members, battling an increasingly advanced enemy in locales like a solar research lab or a ruined city street. Selaco might be built off Doom, but it's closer to FEAR or Trepang2. Every gunfight is a desperate struggle where one false move will kill you. Enemies are extremely aggressive and very intelligent, communicating about your position and strategizing on how to kill you. They'll flank you, throw grenades to force you out of hiding, bait you into their lines of fire, and more. To top it off, their "invasion tier" increases as you progress through the game, giving them enhanced stats or new abilities like deploying shields. Enemy variety ranges from standard soldiers to flying "Siegers" and explosive drones. Though Selaco has elements of boomer shooters, like obscure secrets and heavy usage of sprites, it plays like a modern FPS. You can slide using Shift to avoid gunfire, and you can jump while sliding to greatly extend your distance covered. You can aim your guns with right-click or replace that feature with other upgrades, like dual-wielding your SMGs or loading a slug round into your Shotgun. You have separate health and armor meters, and your can regenerate up to 35 health when you fall below that limit. Upgrades for health points can be found alongside credits, weapon parts, melee damage boosts, and more. You can carry every weapon in the game at once, too. Selaco isn't an immersive sim, and it pokes fun at that genre a few times, but it offers a lot of options for tackling enemies. Aside from ammo scarcity problems in the first few sections, you'll have plenty of ammunition to spare for your weapons. Stealth isn't an option (aside from rare chances to one-tap unaware enemies with melee hits), but you can often choose when and how to start engagements. Setting landmines in cramped hallways, blocking chokepoints with props to force enemies down certain routes...hey, you didn't ask for this invasion, so anything goes! There's a lot to praise about Selaco, especially the music and enemy banter. The biggest problems I have for it are with the difficulty and story. Whatever your typical difficulty is for a shooter - lower it one setting for Selaco. This game is hard. It can be painfully difficult at times, especially when throwing frustrating enemies like Siegers alongside powerful ones like Juggernauts in wide-open areas. I had to skip one fight by stacking boxes simply because I didn't have the ammo to beat it, and the dozen or so attempts I made all ended in death. Selaco can still be a fun challenge on lower difficulties, so don't get fixated on plowing through on whatever your current setting is. It isn't worth it. The story of Selaco basically goes nowhere. There are a ton of datapads containing lore about the setting, but the basic plot isn't addressed, and the 1st chapter ends on a cliffhanger. You never even learn the name of the invading aliens or why they're attacking Selaco! I know that the campaign is incomplete, but the sheer lack of answers given is a letdown. At least a few of the Datapads could have been used to shed more light on the story or the reasons why certain events are happening. It was a wasted opportunity to have so little storytelling happen in the 1st chapter. Those gripes aside, Selaco is a great game. It will scratch that itch for a challenging shooter where your enemies are smart and pull no punches. I enjoyed the weapon variety and how unique the upgrades could get. Aside from a confusing section about dealing with electrified water about 1/3rd into the game, the level design makes sense and flows well. The voice acting is great, the combat never stops being thrilling or intense, and the upgrade system makes exploration fun. I would recommend it on sale.

Viciously difficult, but nonetheless beautiful, with deep level design and worldbuilidng paired with an unforgettable visual style.
Selaco drips with passion, and it shows immediately. In short: Selaco is absolutely thrilling and insanely fun. Selaco isn’t just a great retro FPS. It’s a masterclass in craftsmanship, a love letter to FPS gaming, and a modern evolution of the genre. What the Developers are doing with GZDoom is nothing short of technical artistry: This isn’t “cheap retro”, it’s high-density pixel art, crafted frame by frame. 2D sprites in a fully 3D space, with dynamic lighting, reflections, particles, and destructible environments, true 3D pixel art. Every wall, every screen, every piece of scenery is over-detailed, readable, and coherent. Nothing is there by chance. Selaco pushes the engine GZDoom to levels no one imagined possible: Ultra-smooth, fluid animations Interactive, immersive environments Aggressive, believable AI Surgical, precise sound design. You can feel the devotion of the Devs: They completely master GZDoom They love old-school FPS, but hold it to modern standards They take the time to craft every detail. One of the best indie FPS I’ve played in years. Massive respect to the team. Can’t wait to see what you do next. Thank you so much Altered Orbit Studios !
It is well made & looks great, but idk... something is off with this game — it is just not fun. 1. Most of game feels more like CoD than Doom — you shoot distant enemy silhouettes and quickly killed when not camping. Movement and mastery is actively discouraged — sit in cover and aim. 2. All locations are carefully detailed, but level design took damage and you always lost in same detailed corridors 3. Enemies represented as sprites somehow annoy me a lot
game goes hard. if you like F.E.A.R., classic DOOM, system shock, or any games in that vein, this game does what those do well and so much more. the game has a weirdly comforting atmosphere with such addictive gunfights that i kept coming back for like a month or two until i beat chapter one (the only one available in the current early access state). the gunfights are SUPER dynamic; they almost feel like pvp gunfights because of how unpredictably aggressive the AI can be in certain circumstances. the hard difficulty is great because it humbled me and forced me to adjust my approach, which led me to playing the game in a much more enjoyable way. i would've been perfectly satisfied if the game was just chapter one at the price i paid, but they're projected to come out with a chapter two (and a full remaster of chapter one) at the end of this year! i usually avoid early access, but i've been pleasantly surprised with selaco. they made a great game that just so happens to be getting even more content in the future; that's how early access should be.
If this game ended development today, I would say that it's too short for the price, but that it's fun while it lasts. Since the development team seems to be going at a steady pace with an eye to the future, I expect it to be excellent value by the time it reaches a full release, with early access providing a great opportunity to see the game grow and provide feedback. As someone who never played classic shooters like the early Doom games, I don't share in the nostalgia that this game likely evokes, but I've played through Chapter One (the only chapter available as of this review) twice now, and I would say that it's one of my favorite single-player shooters of all time. I did have a few negative experiences, ranging from things that were entirely my fault (losing a lot of progress after forgetting to save and then dying in a fight) to things that are a part of the genre (having minor anxiety about remembering to come back to locked doors once I have a key) to things that I would blame on the game (losing track of how to progress and wandering the map for an hour). I wouldn't count the first against this game, and I've seen updates that help with most of the complaints I have in the third category. There were a few puzzles that frustrated me for a bit, but for the most part they were optional content, as were the doors that I had to backtrack to unlock. This game has great content for both the 'uptime' and 'downtime' moments. Whenever I got in a fight, I felt like my skill was being challenged, and thanks to the way the game is tuned, I never felt over-full of resources or like I was resource-starved. Fights tend to be hectic in a good way, forcing you to rush around the space and switch between weapons as needed, while still allowing you to use the environment to form chokepoints or lure enemies into mines or grenades. In between fights, the atmosphere is fantastic, and the game incentivizes you to explore the map to get weapon upgrade materials and more health/armor and ammo. As I said above, the game is currently a strong but short experience for the price, but with the expectation of future development, it's definitely worth keeping an eye on.
Absolutely amazing boomer shooter and I am eagerly awaiting more content updates! Attention to detail is absurd. Weapon upgrades are so fun and I can’t believe how much time I spent on a game in this game that’s like cookie clicker which runs in the background as you play. Highly recommend to anyone who likes boomer shooters.
