this game is so beautiful, worth every minute. i even took multiple screenshots to print and frame. this game will stay with me for a while.

So I bought this game three years ago when it first came out, and for a long time I thought it was bugged and that I couldn't play it. I only recently tried again, thought at first it was still bugged, but finally figured out why I couldn't close the journal and continue playing. I had to *create* the journal. Now, my frustration with the lack of instruction is the one and only complaint I have about the game. What a wonderful, beautiful experience, to explore this sprawling world. My only wish is that each area and journal page were bigger, so that I may be able to explore and catalogue every big and small thing I see.

Beautiful. Strange. Poignant. Well written. And, actually, longer than I expected! (It sounds like a lot of people are getting through it in 3-4 hours; I really got pulled into the world and ended up taking 10.) My only nitpick is there are a couple places where it's not obvious what the gate to progress is, which either left me stuck or unexpectedly rushed me past stuff I wanted to experience. Doesn't spoil the whole, though, I think. I would play a sequel that's just more of this universe in a heartbeat.

I loved the slow, contemplative pace. I wish it could have lasted longer!

Beautiful game in which you gain a deeper understanding of culture and history by paying careful attention to your surroundings. The landscape is text; bulletin boards reveal tensions, sculptures have histories buried underneath. After playing this game, I felt very meditative and more in tune with the shifting seasons in my own society.

I almost cried, twice.
