[h2] Saints row 2 is an interesting game release on pc. [/h2] [u] *This game is known to have a very buggy mess of a port over here on Steam, but the game is known for being incredible.* [/u] After playing it for a while, I can tell everyone personally that if u are going to go about getting this game on pc.. it will crash and be [u]pretty much unplayable in most instances without any form of modding being done to it beforehand.[/u] A lotta the [b] community guides [/b] tell u to go about getting the [i]gog version[/i]. And to be completely honest here.. It's not fully necessary from my experiences. BUT it does make it wayyy more stable if I had to guess since the Juiced Patch [i] recommends [/i] it upon booting the game up with it. [b]I primarily played on Steam Deck using the Juiced Patch, and GOTR.[/b] That is it. And the game, just simply works when using those two alone. If you need anything else, there is a guide that was made a while back. It details other mods and such you could install if you so feel a need to do so. But for what it's worth, there isn't much of a need for those changes/other mods; unless you prefer playing the game in specific ways. [/b] But for what it is worth. An honest review would look past it ig. So in terms of what you get here, [i]for anyone who hasn't played this game [/i]before is the following: [list] [*]A good story [*]Good/Incredibly well written characters [*]Funny moments through either story dialogue and gameplay experiences [*]A sizeable and pretty big open world, which rivals many maps even today [strike]quite possibly[/strike] [*]Good gameplay, gunplay, controls, etc. [u] (controls can be remapped to your liking) [/u] [*]A better experience on Steam than on console [strike] [i]if you can get it to work for yourself[/i] [/strike] [*]A fun multiplayer experience [strike] [b] (if you can also get that to work properly) [/b] [/strike] [*]Challenging gameplay from the missions & open world activities at times; with hidden secrets to unlock, and rewarding gameplay overall. [i] hover here over the black bar if u wish to know the missions to look out for [/i]: [spoiler] "Assault on Precinct 31" (Sons of Samedi), "One Man's Junk..." (Ronin), "Reunion Tour" (Brotherhood), "Bank Error In Your Favor" (Brotherhood), "The Enemy Of My Enemy" (Brotherhood), "Salting the Earth...Again" (Ultor), Final Mission ("...And a Better Life") ((Ultor)). [/spoiler] [*]Hidden easter eggs/secrets hidden throughout the open world map. [*]Good character customization, which you can get really creative with. Even after creating your character at the beginning of the game; you can go to a "plastic surgery/plastic surgeon" icon on the map in the open world, to re-do your character again, editing them to your liking, whenever you please. [/list] [code] All in all I give this game my honest review rating of a 9/10 [/code] - [b]Only losing one point due to the pc port's state that it has been left in. And the lack of a few DLC missions that were missing from console ports of this game.[/b] Sadly there will most likely never be an official pc patch by this point because of IdolNinja/Mike Watson's passing. But at the very least. He did what he could. And at least the community was there to help fix it up to be playable today in some form. [b] If u wish to try this amazing game, please do so! It often goes on sale for roughly $3-$5. And at most it is $10. I highly recommend it!! [/b] [h1] * - * TLDR for people who don't wanna read alldat stuff above! * - * [/h1] [b]Saints row 2[/b] requires a lot more effort than it's worth for a lot of people; who just simply want to game without anything getting in the way of it beforehand. [i]Just to get the game to work.[/i] You have to install [u]two mods[/u] just to make the game [u]playable.[/u] Otherwise you will experience a ton of crashes But the mods can also add optional content you wouldn't have access to on console. (If you want that in your game of course). It is an incredible game. 10/10. Despite of it all. I'd advise to buy it if it's on sale, and if you can't figure any of it out, you can always refund on steam after getting it within the 2-hour playtime window. This game is good, but is full with crashes, the PC port of this game is very poor.

absolute peak, just use the juiced patch thats it, game fixed and peak experience
