Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2/day in the week to Aug 25 → 4.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I completed the game with mods installed, just make sure you figure it out about controls promptly, however for this classic game, 7/10, wish the first and second games remastered like the third one, wish it had

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

An action-packed, over the top, with reactive but janky at times gameplay open world game with a great cast of characters. The soundtrack, humor and story are all peak. Sure it's not technically as brilliant as GTA IV which was released the same year but it offers straightforward fun in the main missions or the side activities. While the game itself did age pretty well and smells like simpler times, the PC port is a real mess but works perfectly once the JUICED mod is installed. Didn't encounter a single crash in my 30-hour playtime, both on my desktop and Steam Deck.
i grew up playing sr3 on the xbox360 and i really wanted to try out the games before. i feel like this game has a better story plot then the other games. only issues i got is that the game has problems running on pc, maybe its because i have a windows 11 pc or what not. but it crashes and bugs out. had to download juiced to get it to run fine.
It simply doesn't work. it crashes randomly, most times during a mission or activity. I've tried the third-party juiced patch, but im in the unlucky minority of people for whom it just refuses to work with for whatever reason. Saints Row 2 is an amazing game that i have sunk hundreds of hours in on console. It's the best in its series, and in the top 5 GTA/GTA-Like games of all time. But sadly it was ported badly and never fixed at the source. You might have better luck than myself when it comes to the patch. If so: Shoot Julius for me. Addendum: There is a second patch that worked for me called Gentleman Of The Row. it adds some stuff that i don't really like, but when combined with a different executable, it has become very stable. but it also had an option to display the Xbox (and PS) control scheme which was nice since this game is controller preferable. Also Mjolnir Sledgehammer. Still not recommending it on steam out of protest; Someone ELSE! shouldn't have to FIX!! a game you BOUGHT!!!
To be fair everyone was saying the PC port was terrible i can see why they would say that, But the game is still good with fetures very far ahead of its time compared to other games. I have had a few instances of it crashing "once during the first mission" it also runs on my computer very well (specs down below) if you dont mind small crashes that are kind of rare i reccomend this game especially if you like to customze your car and caracter.
Honestly? Another game ruined by a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up port. The gameplay. This might be a controversial take...but I'd say It's way more fun than GTA IV. I know, I know. But It's true though. The gameplay, and all side-activities that you can partake in will leave you more at the edge of your seat than doing 'The Snow Storm' mission in GTA IV. Yes, controversial. I know. Soundtrack is actually really good as far as I remember, with much variety and "banger" tracks. I vividly remember jammin' out to My Chemical Romance, Panic! At the Disco, Nas, and Run-DMC on the various in-game stations. The story is arguably the best out of the whole Saints Row franchise, as It's held in high regard by the people. The game continues off of the story of the '3rd Street Saints' from the first 'Saint's Row' and their various escapades throughout the City of 'Stilwater'. As the story continues off the first, theres bound to be some "returning characters" per se; most notably being: Troy Bradshaw, Aisha, and your boy—Johnny Gat. Yeah—Volition kind of went overboard with this though... with Gat being in—roughly 4/5 games. So yeah... More on the port... Yeah, terrible. If you can, try to play it on console as that's how I originally did it. BUT if you are willing to try this busted-ass port, well I recommend installing the 'Juiced Patch' and 'Gentlemen of The Row' mod. These are a must-have in order to not have any graphical, technical, or overall (most issues). Maybe even use DXVK:Vulkan for a more extensive fix. But hey, I'm no expert. Huge thanks to IdolNinja to devoting his time trying to fix this sorry-ass-excuse of a port. Rest in peace, Mike Watson/IdolNinja.
never played any saints row game until now, and this game is actually just some mindless fun :) game is a little easy but i haven't played much yet and it seems like the hard mode just makes enemies sponges, (not fun), but I feel like the easy nature is a positive for this game's style of play, I boot up and just turn my brain off while I blow stuff up and while not every game, I want to play like this, I certainly value it here. tho the fact basic fix mods were REQUIRED to make it run was kind of a bummer (ran at a piss poor 4 fps even though I meet the system requirments, smth about the game only using 2gbs of ram, including some of my igpu shared ram). but I had already spent money so I wanted to PLAY THE GAME I PURCHASED.
Saints Row 2 is one of my favorite games of all time with a review scored dampened by the PC port being awful and not including the DLC that was on console. I've played this game about a million times, and now thanks to a community that loves the game to death, it actually works on PC as intended, with all content included. The series may have ended(?) terribly, but the past can't be tampered with, and this game is so good that it's worth playing even if you never want to try any other Saints Row. Install these three things to fix the game and add all content: Juiced Patch PC DLC High Quality Radio An official patch was planned and being made by legendary community member and eventually Volition Community Manager Mike Watson, A.K.A. Idolninja. The community loved him, and he loved this game. It would have released if the company wasn't shut down and if he didn't pass due to cancer. But he died doing what he loved, and made one of the most influential and popular mods for Saints Row 2, Gentlemen of the Row. and with the Juiced Patch, he has a tribute at the top of the credits. Rest In Peace. Go and enjoy this amazing game in his honor. The Saints Row series means so much to me, and being able to experience this again in all its glory was so amazing that I had to 100% it. This is without a doubt the best game in the series, so don't feel bad if you just play this one. Special thanks to mrsaintsgodzilla21 and Flippy for their amazing Saints Row coverage, they're extremely dedicated fans and I grew up watching them. It's our time now. Let's get this ♥♥♥♥ started!
