A short psychological horror game, where you attempt to gain root access into an unethical superstructure.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.14/day in the week to Sep 7 → 8.71/day in the week after.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.43/day in the week to Jul 24 → 8.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
"s.p.l.i.t" is a short narrative driven horror game, with a focus on raw terminal hacking using various commands.
Throughout the game, you chat with your fellow technicians in order to plan and execute a malware attack. Regardless of the outcome, your story won't be told for decades.
Will you hold up your end?
First person gameplay with diegetic & immersive UI.
An IRC chat where you gain intel, and learn more about the facility.
A terminal where you run software, navigate directories, and execute commands.
Detailed command prompt hacking puzzles with an emphasis on traditional inputs.
Original soundtrack.
The facility you and your crew infiltrate is a superstructure of unethical electronics.
The daunting task is only made possible by careful planning, and vulnerabilities hidden deep below legacy code and engineering.

machmal verwirrend aber das spiel hat coole ideen und dafür dass es so günstig ist, ist es auf jeden Fall das geld wert. Gruselig ist es zu 0% aber hat trotzdem spaß gemacht
the most disturbing ass game ever😭😭
my ONLY complaint for this game is how short it was. once i started to understand how everything worked the game was basically already over but i really did enjoy it. i also really like the no hand holding how you have to find how to do everything by yourself

A decent expansion to the universe introduced in The Tartarus Engine, though the ending to this one is less interesting, imo. 6/10
This is such a cool lil' game. The music, sound design, all great. The gameplay is simple, the experience is very brief, but the sheer quality feels pretty astounding. You don't do a whole lot, but it's a really neat experience. I'm hoping that there's more from this dev and in this world in the future, one of the endings leaves plenty of room.
Absolute. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Excellent. Looking forward to his next terminal based game. Maybe it follows this one?? I'll play it. No matter what.
