It's borderline cliche now with these games and comparisons to Stardew Valley - but, I guess that's what happens when you're considered the very best of the genre. This is the closest game I've seen come close to, if not match, the magic of Stardew, while also being very unique in its own right. I've followed the development since EA and the dev puts a ton of effort into this game and it shows. I'd even argue that this game exceeds Stardew at the same point in development. So, with that being said, I clearly and highly recommend this game. I can't wait to see where it continues to go - but for now, as is, I'd give it a 10/10.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
Absolutely Recommend This Game.

This is Stardew / Harvest Moon Style Game- But BETTER
If you enjoy the Harvest Moon / Story of Seasons / Stardew Valley style of video game, you're in for a treat. This game takes the theme of being "caveman-esque" and really incorporates it into its very soul. All of the mechanics feel exceptionally complementary to the theme of the game, which in turn makes the entire thing feel VERY well thought out. Everything feels like a lot of thought and care was put into the overall design of the game. You farm, yes, but even the way you get seeds feels absolutely right in a world that is supposed to be "stone age adjacent". Make no mistake, this is NOT meant to be historically accurate, but more like historical fantasy? If that makes sense? You fish, but you use a stone. You plant, but you collect seeds from strange plants in the world. You can be a rancher, but you and your tribe have to figure out how to do that first. It all feels intuitive, smooth, and RIGHT for the game world. Not overly complex, but still very new and sweet and interesting in a genre that has become very flooded.
This is Cozy In All The Good Ways
Cozy is very much one of those words that has kind of lost its meaning in the video game world, but if there was a game that I felt encompassed the cozy genre, Roots of Pacha would be in there. The music, the vibes, and the general tone of the game just VERY much influences a cozy feeling. You feel like a small tribe in your corner of the world, in a real community where everyone matters, and your actions carry a great deal of weight toward the survival of your people. It just gives this really sweet, beautiful feeling.
Mechanics Feel Exceptionally Finetuned
I do genuinely feel like the mechanics are smooth and make a LOT of sense. I have played this game primarily on the Steamdeck- highly recommend. It feels VERY good. It's gorgeous on PC, and I cannot stress enough how much I freaking LOVE the music. Seriously. Genuinely. This game is a treasure. It's one of those ones that feels like a rare gem, a jewel that appeared amidst all of the other rocks. There is nothing quite like it, and it's phenomenal and filled with a lot of very intent love and focus. Development has been amazing, the updates are incredible, communication from the devs has been awesome- super worth the money. SUPER WORTH THE MONEY.
Better than Stardew Valley because it has a more interesting setting, more interesting characters, no tacked on combat, and overall more interactivity and enjoyable mini games.
T his is game is amazing buy it so much fun and relaxing and the sound track is amazing.
This game needs a lot more recognition. It might have a bit less content than Stardew Valley but since everyone is comparing every life sim farming game with it anyway I say this one is a really close contender. The development of the clan feels so rewarding. Unlocking new things changes the face of the clan permanently which I really love. I only played this one together with my brother in co-op mode so having another helping hand is really - well - helpful. You can kinda rush through it and we both were married by the end at the first year. Our prophecies where also done by the first year but of course you can take things slow. I only have a few things I don't really like. The portraits of the characters are very unique but I haven't really found one really attractive personally so i installed a mode for other portraits. Then I married Touk who is the cutest and most adorable himbo ever. I am sad that we were done with 500K clan points but this is our problem lol There should be an explanation in the game about how you get the rare and legendary animals. I don't think this gets explained but like SV you will just use the wiki (use the one on wiki.gg since it is a bit more up to date; still missing quite a few things, sadly). Lastly the game has a few hiccups in co-op mode. If one of the people gets a short internet blackout the host can easily save at the bed thanks to the new one-time save which is great! BUT the game sometimes has a random problem, making it impossible to save the progress. We don't know why it does this but sometimes it just stops working partially. I still hear music, I can move for a bit but as soon as I interact with anything (like my mount) I get stuck and cannot move. HOWEVER I can use my mouse to open the map and the journal so I wish there was another one-time-save in the menu for those cases.
I loveeee this game.
