Roots of Pacha

super fun game! discovering new technology literally is the best part and makes the game so enjoyable for me. the characters are kind of meh to be honest but everything else is so good it doesn't really bother me. can't wait to play even more!

Got this game as a treat to myself and I am hooked <3 The setting, refreshing mechanics, non-money currency, and the realistic characters and stories are amazing. I'm a big farming/life sim fan and I reluctantly gave this a try, because it's not as well known and I now find myself writing my first ever steam review just to rave about how great this game is. Definitely my favorite game since SDV. I found myself hooked investing 60+ hours in a week.. The family life in this game is so good. The kids have actual personalities and dialogue. I love having a variety of activities to choose each day and how you can actually get most stuff (like seeds and animals) for absolutely free LOL So underrated. I want to kiss the devs and pray they continue to support this game for a very long time, and for more recognition of course.

This is one of the best cozy farming games I have ever played. There is lots to do within the game, the characters demonstrate a lot of personality, the music is incredible, and this is all backed by a dedicated development team whose love for the game and continual support of their player base is evident. If you like to collect stuff, there are TONS of things to collect within the game: animals, fish, gems, insects, crops, clothing, decorations. If you love games in this genre, you CANNOT miss out on Roots of Pacha.

its okey not the best farming game sim

I have loved Roots of Pacha, both as a single player game and playing with my partner. It is a unique take on the cozy game, farming specific. I appreciated the slower pacing of the game with the village developing along with the player. This gave my partner and I about 35 hours of gameplay. While we have not fully completed the game, (animal product time line left), we have begun a second run. The one difficulty we have run into is the difficulty of replay-ability of the game. While I have played multiple save in single player, doing a second run on multiplayer feels dragging. We enjoy challenge runs, such as no contributions until the end of a season, or mine only until we have reach floor 120 in Stardew for example. While I appreciate the slower pace of RoP, it does make it difficult to play the game any other way than the liniar story, especialy the mines being so heavily looked behind progression. All in all the game is incredibly fun, I just wish the replay value was better. P.S. I would love more storage space, I know this is a universal want by players, but with the 1.3 update I find that we have 20+ chests for all the new items. As well I would love more farm decorations along the lines of flooring and fencing, i love the obsidian fence and would do anything to have a matching floor for it. While i know the game is basically done with development after 1.3, it would be nice to have some more things sprinkled through the game.

I have an awesome time with this game. It feels like a prehistoric Stardew. The characters are fun, I get to ride around on cool animals, and I get to dance. What's not to love? If you enjoy the farming + fishing + cooking + social kind of game, then this is a good option for you.
