About
About ROMEO IS A DEAD MAN
Take control of the protagonist Romeo Stargazer in this third person singleplayer action adventure, split into various chapters. His story is both unpredictable and littered with intense battles, interspersed with side missions to suit the player's pace.
A story that transcends space-time
This game's story starts with space-time itself being shattered by a certain incident. Romeo, too, on the brink of life and death finds himself revived by a new kind of super technology. Thus he is recruited for the FBI's Space-Time Police as a special agent, and wanders the cosmos in search of criminals who've taken advantage of the situation at hand in an attempt to bring justice back to the universe. At the same time, he looks for clues concerning his missing girlfriend Juliet, and quickly comes to find both her disappearance and the destruction of space may be more linked than he thought. Donning the mask called Deadgear, what awaits Romeo at the edges of space-time?
Fight blood with blood
Romeo switches between swords and guns to fight. Wipe out the waves of enemies that stand in your path to give birth to a new kind of bloody action, and take down the fearsome space-time criminals that await. Absorb the blood of your enemies to unleash Romeo's special attack: Bloody Summer, capable of turning any situation around. Romeo's various weapons can be strengthened and altered as the story moves forward as he takes on even stronger enemies.

PLEASE GHM UNLOAD PARTS OF BIG AREAS ITS BASIC OPTIMISATION AND IT MAKES ENHANCED MAGRUS PLAYABLE Another great action game by grasshopper manufacture, directed by Suda but also Ren Yamazaki who has also taken part in the direction of KiD or NMH3. The main novelty about it is that's it's an adventure game, with character progression that makes it more and more like an rpg; the game is divided in levels with checkpoints that are interconnected through a parallel world system, can't really explain that in detail. This feels like the first ghm game where exploration really matters, as picking up objects like upgrade materials for weapons and searching for hidden badges which give passives when equipped is crucial for progressing (orange chocolate is really hard btw don't feel ashamed to pick a lower difficulty): it's a dark souls style action adventure game, which isn't necessarily a bad thing and the level design holds up. If you've played KiD, you may not be surprised to see that gun gameplay is back. However, I think it's actually worse in this game: the main thing is that some ennemies have weapoints you have to shoot at to deal big damage, however as you progress into the game you'll outdamage that very quickly with melee since guns don't deal a lot of damage and reloading is VERY long. They are also useful for destroying some projectiles or hitting enemies and bosses out of reach, but they feel very lame to play and don't offer a particular advantage other than being necessary. The rotten system is good, although questionable. The bosses are a mixed bag. Some of them have frustrating mechanics even without forced gun use and it's often hard to figure out attacks without being instantly killed. I'm thinking about the final boss in particular, which has a scripted aoe where the only way to deal with it is to spam healing items (afaik.). Again, this is a higher difficulty problem, where they have a lot of health and kill very fast, but still feels like a structural problem. They all have some good aspects though. The graphics are pretty and the game doesn't run so bad thanks to fsr but it has some optimization problems as mentioned. Be sure to turn down shadows and quit and launch the game again before magrus if you're having problems. The soundtrack is quite good and suda makes it quite clear that punk is in fact not dead. Storywise, this is the first triple a self edited ghm game and it shows. Several silver case characters have a somewhat important role in the game and it's a pleasure to see that the sudaverse just keeps going. If you thought nmh3 was bad though, you're not gonna like this game any more. It's the same borderline corny-subversive humor/storytelling (which I don't blame at all btw) that makes for an anticlimactic experience as a whole. And that's ok, because the story is still told and served. Also killer7 fans there's a big surprise at the end of the game. So, overall, it's a window for the future of ghm, a future where they seek freedom and the continuation of what the studio had established. Well, that kinda goes against "kill the past". Or does it ? It's clear that freedom was the most important point about this game's making, and that they're gonna keep seeking this in the future. So, indeed, kill the past of aborted games, dependency and restriction, and on to a new grasshopper. I recommend this game and tbh you don't even have to play other ghm games before though you'll appreciate it more.

Cool
与英雄不再系列相比,是个全面劣化版,只是对上电波的话也没太多可选,建议30元左右入手。超过50感觉就亏了
No I can't recommend this game. If you have the patients of a saint then go for it. What killed it for me is I'm mid way through, already the bosses were a chore, this one I can 't waste anymore time on. It does not matter what I do or how I play it will keep spamming the same attack that by the way takes half your health instantly, also while you have to keep moving around a lazer that is moving around the floor waiting to hit and knock you down so the boss can instantly finish you. I always play my games first or normal difficulty. This is no way feels normal, this is hard and there's 2 difficulty settings beyond this. I can't imagine, and no this is not a get good scenario. This is poor and frusterating design. I wan't to like this game but yeah I've sunk 8 hours in and not having the option to lower the difficulty was the nail in the coffin. I have other games I want to play so this one gets to go to the bottom of the backlog. Edit, this has me even more mad. I just looked and it says my difficulty is orange chocolate (hard) I know for an absolute fact I picked milk chocolate. This is why these types of games need the option to change difficulty at any time or at the very least start the level over with changed difficulty. This makes me want to retry this even less now. Come on guys, release an update that allows you to change your dificulty. It's 2026, the game should have come with that option to begin with.
Le falta optimización, pero eso es también parte de la experiencia de un juego de SUDA51. Es justo el tipo de juego que estas pensando: divertido, original, extravagante, pero no te decepciones si no encuentras el más competente hack and slash.
I just finished Romeo Is A Deadman. This game is criminally underrated by people who don't "get it" when it comes to Suda 51's creativity, humor, and storytelling. They simply don't understand games as art or concept pieces. If you like No More Heros, Lollipop Chainsaw, or Shadows of the Damned, you'll be right at home here. I saw multiple numbnuts reviewers complain about the wireframe subspace levels interrupting the action. I enjoyed those parts just fine and think the people complaining would ♥♥♥♥♥ there wasn't enough variety in gameplay if it wasn't there. They're probably too low IQ for the easy puzzles in subspace too. It also isn't a soulslike, which I think is fantastic, but people like to complain about that too. Graphics are standard UE5 fare, but the design and artistry is what makes this game special. I love the use of mixed media and styles, blendng elements of sci-fi and horror with the futuristic and retro. I feel this game has the strongest art direction since Clair Obscure: Expedition 33. Also, the music is badass. I love the J-hip-hop tracks on the opening screens, and the boss music really gets me pumped up. The controls seem perfectly adequate and fighting is fun. I like how the different enemies take different strategies, and mindless WHACK WHACK WHACK doesn't work most of the time. So RIADM is not the best game ever, but it deserves at least an 8 out of 10. Suda 51 fans who aren't already playing this should have no hesitation to get started.
hell yeAAAAAAAAHHHH
Suda51 al 100%, un muy buen juego si te gustan los juegos de acción con las peculiaridades de este autor. Lo recomiendo muchísimo, obviamente :)
