(English) To be honest, I hadn't play such a game if The Deep End Games hasn't been the studio maker. I'm not in search of Castlevania like nor interested in Dating sim. But I really do like their first game Perception and I was curious to discover their second work. So what is Romancelvania ? An improbable mix of Castlevania, dating sim and reality TV show. A weird mashup game like indie studios dare to make. Sometimes I search a game to be entertain and to have a good time, Romancelvania was this kind. I expected none from it ; even maybe I was a bit incertain about it. But it did the job in a clever way despites some flaws. Dating part as a parody of TV reality show was the best one. I found it well written, full of humour, and dialogues are often pretty clever (despites the jokes). All characters are interesting in their own way and less stereotypical than they seems ; so are the themes which are rather serious and developped in a mature way. It made me think a bit. The action/platformer part appeared as the weakest point. Even if the game wanted to feel kinda alike Symphony of the Night, Drac is more a Simon Belmont than an Alucard in its move, also feels alike the fightings. But like in SOTN there is not a lot of challenges in normal mode ; it's a bit more interesting in hard mode but that may slightly increase some framerates drop... That leads me to the main problem : technical issues. Besides a second grade action/platformer part, the game also had some issues (ver. 1.40) : minors, voices not synced during cinematics and some framerates issues ; major, crashes - all in Little Italy area (but this area runs rather fine in 30 FPS). I had fun times despites those issues. The first hour has heen slightly rough. But once I had made the gameplay mine and find the whip, things went better and I begun to appreciate the Grim Reaper's Love at First Bite Show ! And I think that if the action/platform has the vibes of a second grade one, it's not totally out if purpose as the game is a parody and, without spoil, it's fit the clunky show very well. Whole ambiance is rather good and I ended to like the kitschy aesthetic. Dialogues are very well written, the voice acting is pretty good, and so are the musics. And there are some show details relative, here and there, that spiced up the pace. I must admit that I'm encline to be kind about those looney works, even when they push it hard but stay coherent in absurd. Dare to try something weird is one of my favorite qualities of indie studios. And as fan of Monthy Python's Holy Grail, The Rocky Horror Picture Show or Killer Klowns from Outer Space (among many others), Romancelvania which a bit less zany than it seems had found its public with me.

I recommend this game but only if you can get it on sale. One character didn't get any voice acting work and episode 4 feels half done compared to episodes 1, 2 and 3. Its a lot of fun and is so goofy sometimes
Amazing, funny and interesting characters. Cool designs, great music. This game was fun to play the whole way through and since you can keep different characters and get different missions it can be played more than once. I've played once through so far and was completely surprised by the ending.
A very stupid save game implementation on this game. Not only is it manual, but you have to be in a specific part of the map to activate it. No quick save or save menu options I found anyway. Need to quit, and want to save your progress? Work back through the maze to a point near the beginning. Maybe there are more later on, but so far I've found just the one.
Romanclevania is a metroidvania with straightforward and easy to understand humor and the option to romance a plethora of monsters, all with different personalities. Pros: Interesting game mechanics, fun characters with decent backstories, straightforward and fairly easy to grasp and play. The voice lines are immaculate, absolutely loved that. Cons: Way too short, played a whole game in 11.5 hours total (albeit on easy mode) and felt like I really didn't have enough time to relate to the characters. The game mechanics can be clunky and unaesthetic, gameplay does not feel smooth and you are going to be tanking damage for most bosses, rather than actually dodging and having to really think about the bosses mechanics. There is no originality in this game, if they could recreate an area based on something akin to real life and not have to put thought into it, they will. Do not play this game expecting some type of deep moral story or overwhelming redemption of the story, there isn't one. I wouldn't run another playthrough of this game on any of the other modes, or with the intention to date new characters personally, even though the game is so short that logically, I could date everyone I wanted and end the story with them within less than a week at most. Combine all this with the fact that the game is EXTREMELY buggy and that you're gonna have to close and reopen it at least once or twice before you start actually playing every time you go to boot it up. TLDR: Funny, gets a couple of cheap laughs out of you, wouldn't consider buying it overall though as it's really nothing great sadly. (Yes, I got the game for free, it was gifted to me)
Fun and goofy as hell in a Scooby Doo sort of way. The dating aspect of it doesn't go too deep, so if you're really only here for that then you might be disappointed.
This game is so fun and funny!! Save often in case of a crash, I only experienced 1 crash and some lag in the gift room but the content the game offers makes it worth it in my opinion. I am happy with my experience and I can see my self replaying this in a couple years to experience the fun all over again <3 <3 <3
Creative game with great character and was honestly very fun to play!
Wicked janky. There is no map, lighting is weird, and the combat feels forced.
