This remake looks and feels as good today as your nostalgia has you remembering the 1997 original.
Outstanding. I owned this game back in the 90's when it came on 5 or 6 CD's. You had to swap a disc every time you went to a different island. Also, you had to keep paper notes. I never finished it back then. This free movement remake provides so much better quality of play. The screenshots with text is also much more convenient for note taking. 28 years later I finally finished the game!

It's a worthy remake of the original. A lot easier than Obduction.
Beautiful environments, great sound and music, and clever, solid puzzles, but be aware there is a *lot* of walking and backtracking along many twisty passageways and dealing with transition animations. I confess to using a tip guide now and then. It's really easy to miss something important and then not have any idea how to proceed. Occasional use of the guide saved me *hours* of walking around and getting frustrated.

Riven is a beautiful 3D adventure game. A wonderful remake. And it gets better and better with each update.
Look, it's Riven. If you like puzzle games, this is one of the best. As a remaster, it's immaculate and subtly changes some puzzles (In positive ways!) so even if you've played the original you will love this one. It's aesthetic is timeless, it's soundscape is mesmerizing, it's world will draw you in, and graphically.. well just look at it! Gorgeous. Highly recommend!

Riven è Riven. Stupendo allora, magnifico adesso con il supporto del vr e un comparto grafico straordinario. Non a caso l'ho preso più per rilassarmi nei suoi stupendi paesaggi che per rifinire il gioco in se. Complesso iil giusto, le meccaniche vr sono pienamente implementate. Nessun problema degno di nota riscontrato. Un Must have per chi ha un buon visore vr
