После многих лет игры на телефоне, была приятно удивлена, что она есть так же и на компьютер. При этом большой плюс , что нет донатной системы
It is a desktop adaptation of a mobile game, and it has not been adapted well. The gameplay is very repetitive, stretched thin by a tedious "checklist" like progression system. While I enjoy grinding for a build, this isn't it. The races offer zero challenge because your horses are perpetually overleveled—a side effect of being forced to grind specific quotas just to unlock the next tier. This design kills all user agency. You don’t breed for aesthetics or race for profit; you do it because the game demands it in a specific order. Deviating from the script is actively punished. For example, if you level a horse to 8 before the game "asks" you to reach level 7, you're forced to buy a new horse and repeat the grind just to clear the quest. The breeding system boasts a variety of stats and patterns, but the mid-game slog is so discouraging it’s hard to care. Every time you unlock a new "grade," you’re forced to breed with random stock, effectively diluting your previous efforts. Can you just rush to the endgame? No—the endless quests makes that impossible. If you just want to look at pretty horses, this might suffice. Just don’t expect a shred of strategy or challenge.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I have my farm leveled up to 16. All my horses are level 8 horses AAAA rated trained to level 40. There is a game glitch in Majestic range course 6 , pro mode where the horse slows down and stops at the same several spots in the course when you're sprinting and have plenty of sprint energy so you can't beat that quest. Also with the Rival Race there's no way to beat it. Even with top leveled up horses and doing everything right, the other horses always blow right past you and you can't win. This is the first time I've not been able to beat this quest. With these glitches I can't go any further in the game. Would not recommend this game unless these issues are fixed. Others are having the same issues.
To keep in mind - PikPok officially announced on their Discord server that the Desktop Edition is going on an indefinite hiatus. They confirmed that the game will not be receiving major updates during this period.
As a whole, the game is… fine. It’s nice to have a more structured horse racing game with a bit of actual story behind it, especially in a genre full of bland sims. The foundation here is solid, and there’s definitely potential. The biggest issue though, is that this is very clearly a mobile port. If this had been built for PC from the ground up with proper PC controls, smaller buttons and better UI, unlocked camera movement, and graphics designed to take advantage of the platform then it could have been great. Instead, it feels like a mobile game awkwardly transplanted onto my PC. You can’t freely move the camera with the mouse since it’s locked to A & D controls, and steering your horse feels slow and clunky even with 150+ stats. The movement genuinely feels like I’m dragging my finger across my screen rather than playing on a keyboard. Questing is a huge frustration at times. Most progression is streamlined and happens naturally as you play. But occasionally you’ll hit a requirement like "Get a horse to level X stat." By that point, I’d already trained my main horses beyond that by progressing through the courses given to me. So instead of having the quest automatically checked, I’m forced to breed or buy a spare horse just to grind it up to that specific stat level to unlock the next step. On top of that, training upgrades are mission locked too so if you can't buy a new horse to pass that quest then you're stunted from progression. To this game's credit, the PC edition removes the all the microtransactions found in the mobile version. Currency is easier to earn, and breeding quality horses feels more accessible. However, the downside of that is the lack of updates, live events, event cosmetics, and community engagement compared to the mobile version. It feels like the PC edition is always behind in support, so I would love to see the developers try to dedicate a team to the PC edition's development to keep things on an equal level. Overall, I’d honestly recommend playing the mobile version since it’s free. It’s more fleshed out, more actively supported, and gives you a better idea of what the game is trying to be instead of this more hollow shell of it.
great game. BUT the lack of updates it gets compared to mobile is just disapointing.
Can't recommend this game. It's very basic and barebone, all the mechanics feel half-assed, no cups no derbies, breeding feels very basic and everything has to be RNG for some reason (especially the market and the horse selection for breeding, why?) and you have to wait a few minutes for every little things, like dude I paid for this game why do I have to wait?? If waiting has proper gameplay and management impact I wouldn't mind at all, but this is just pointless waiting. It's not worth full price and even 50% off it's still not worth it, get your money and buy better quality game at the same or even lower price.
While Rival Stars is a well-made horse racing game as it presents itself as, I agree 100% with the other reviews that if you are not getting this game on sale, it is not worth it. Plus, at the time of posting, the development team as announced that they have stepped away from updating desktop to focus on their mobile version. If you bought the desktop before buying the mobile version I'd recommend not making an account. The mobile version, while has promised updates that desktop does not, mobile is purely a cash-grab. The currency system is hard to gain and it is hard to make process through the story mode without having to pay. Tons of advertisement is littered throughout the mobile version and mainly makes the game not enjoyable if you are not willing to pay or watch said ads. If you're still thinking about getting either version of the game there is tons of pros and cons to each and neither one is significantly better than the other.
No updates forthcoming on this platform. No point playing this game as its just grinds to a halt
