I really enjoyed it!! good humor as always nice puzzles but not hard. I really liked the surealistic ending.
A great story about ambition, reflecting on aging, and unintended consequences. I have no nostalgia for Monkey Island but I do dearly love Thimbleweed Park, and for me both of these Terrible Toybox titles are greater than the game itself. I am invested in the creators and what the game means to them. Cheesy but genuinely something unique I find myself drawn to with Ron's games and few others. Own and beat on Switch, will be replaying here. RtMI is probably as devisive as MI2 and it is unapologetically so. It won't be for everyone but I think it is worth playing for many people, not just MI fans.
Return to Monkey Island is an excellent game, which I am sure fans of the Monkey Island series will appreciate. I believe that newcomers to the series will also enjoy this game, though of course playing the earlier games (you only need to have played the first two games of the series, as this game is a continuation of that timeline) will give players a full appreciation of the lore. The voice acting, sound design, puzzles and gags all ticked the right boxes for me. Despite what a vocal group of fans thought of the visuals, I absolutely loved the art style of this game, which were like paper cut outs from a picture book. I applaud the boldness is taking the art style in a new direction to previous games in the series, which worked for me. I definitely recommend this game.
