Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS:
Playing this game for the first time was incredible. I've always held Resident Evil 3: Nemesis as the best in the series since that was the first game that started it all to me, but going back playing the original RE1 and RE2 for the first time, I have to admit - this rivals RE3 and RE1R as the pinnacle of the series.
PROS:
- The visual upgrades from the first game are way more detailed, from the lighting to the environment and animations of every enemy on screen. Watching an enemies arms or legs get blown off from you shotgun, and seeing their torso still crawling toward you looks amazing and frightening at the same time. - Character Health animations have been changed to reflect the damage you have taken before healing. When your character is in cautious or in danger, you will hunch over or drag your feet significantly slowing your movement down. It's a great visual improvement. - The amount of enemies on screen has been charged up to 10. From the start of the game to the very end, you will be engaging in groups of 3 to 5 and sometimes 8 in an area. - Weapon verity and upgrades are a cool touch. Finding varies upgrade parts for your weapons and improving the way they perform was great. Your pistol becoming semi-automatic and your shotgun having a wider range of spread, really felt like you were capable of going toe-to-toe with all the enemies on screen. - Lickers. Enough said. - Zapping system! This has to be my favorite part of the game. The way your actions in game can effect the outcome of certain weapons, enemies, clothing and items in game to appear. How freaking cool is that?! This honestly blew my mind and I finally realize what all the fuss was about after experiencing scenario A and B for the first time. It really puts things into perspective on some of the criticism the RE2R had for not implementing it. I can't say enough about - it really is the high light of the game and I really which they never stopped implementing it. - Quality of life enhancements to the in game map menu. Color coating and identifying locked doors is such a warm and much needed welcome. Don't get me wrong, having a hardcore mode where taking away that option would have been more immersive, but it definitely helped the game flow better knowing where to go and not having to backtrack as much. - Character development and story. The game does a great job describing the events that have happened around the city and police department through files and cutscenes. There where plenty of interactions with varies characters and fmv's that really flushed out the game. - Replayability is second to none! A and B scenarios with two different characters, new enemies encounters in each scenario, zapping system, 4th Survivor, To-Fu, Extreme Battle and Alternate Modes that unlock more weapons and infinite ammo - the list goes on. The campaign can easily be played 4 times minimum.
CONS:
- No auto aiming. I know this might be a pro or a con to some, but I've always had mixed feelings about it. It's a nice gameplay improvement that can help the game not feel so stiff, but the challenge of manual aiming can make the game more appealing as well. - No 3D models and secret compartments for items to examine. If I had one major complaint, it would have to be this one. I was immediately bummed when picked up my first puzzle item and was met with just text. Really liked how they used the examine and rotate feature in RE1 and wish they used it here. - No Hunter!? Bummer.
FINAL VERDICT:
Besides the few cons I had for the game, I thought this was an incredible game that truly captivated what a masterpiece of artwork and gameplay could be. This game brought the series to knew heights and solidified the Resident Evil series into the juggernaut it became. I can't imagine what it must have felt like playing this game for the first time in 1998. This is one of the greatest games of all time. Bão!👌
Brings back some great memories of booting it up on the old GameCube in probably 2003-2004. Still holds up today and the save room music hits so hard. (9/10)
Following the release of RESIDENT EVIL, Capcom immediately greenlit a sequel after its success, with concept art being shown off an exhibition in March of 1996. Shinji Mikami steps down into a producer role, with directing duties handed over newcomer Hideki Kamiya (OKAMI, BAYONETTA, DEVIL MAY CRY). Development swiftly followed with a targeted late 1997 release date, but due to doubts and disagreements hearaled by the development staff, Mikami suggested the unthinkable: restart the development from scratch at roughly 80% through development. Seeing the concerns, Capcom allowed development to begin again, thus delaying the game to an early 1998 release, with two(!) different cuts of RESIDENT EVIL being released as an apology for the delay time. Released to critical acclaim in January 1998, RESIDENT EVIL 2 follows rookie cop Leon S. Kennedy on his first day at the Raccoon City Police Department (tell me about it), and college student Claire Redfield, in search of her brother, Chris. The two cross paths and find themselves in a race against time to escape the now horrificly infested Raccoon City, thrown into chaos from the same agents that caused the outbreak in the Arklay Mountains due to a failed clandestine operation to secure the newly-developed G-Virus from scientist William Birkin. RE2 refines the gameplay established in RE1, featuring large-scale environments, more monsters that take up the screen, and plenty of ammo to go around to grant a sense of catharsis. There's a greater emphasis on action, which is evident from the game's opening cutscene, a testment to Kamiya's own action movie inspiration. There's more bangs, more explosions, more thrills and tension that perfectly compliments the survival horror atmosphere, now in a city infested with hundreds if not thousands of the undead, along with Umbrella's more nefarious creatures lurking in the depths. The game features two split scenario cases, where you can play in the A scenario of a character, and later upon completion, you unlock the B scenarion of the other. This is where the game features almost like a rouge-like, where decisions you decide and items you pick up on your first run will end up affecting the other. It allows for a fresh experience each time you start a new playthrough. For controls, it plays just as well as the first RE title, so if you're comfortable with tank controls, you'll do just fine. The enemies have also taken a big step up, with more variable zombies, along with the introduction of some of the most iconic enemies from the franchise: the Licker, the mutated William Birkin, and the titular T-103 Tyrant that stalks the B scenario, otherwise known as Mr. X, the first stalker enemy of the series. Most of all, the music takes a big notch up forwards from the first game, featuring more orchestral-like compositions and synthesizer tracks. There's a reason why the save room theme from this title remains the best of the series. With all the action, horror and thrills, this game remains the best of the classic series for many. If you've only played the remake or are looking to get into the franchise, I cannot reccommend this title enough. It'll leave you hungry for more. 10/10
Um clássico e simplesmente um game incrível!!
沒有中文版,日文版又無法存檔,BUG持續這麼久了也不修,遊戲本身是好的,但只能給差評。
