Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

A childhood favorite

PEAK
I had an absolute blast playing through this game, having experiencing the remake first. The game is a lot more concise compared to the expanded remake, but it did not feel lacking because of it. The areas feel a bit liminal and the RPD layout makes absolutely no sense, but exploring it still felt tense. They drastically increased the number of enemies, but also the number of bullets you get compared to the original Resident Evil, making for slightly less scary encounters knowing you can just blast through them. Some scares still had me jump in my seat, and the overall ambiance of the game is very fitting for a mid-outbreak event. Areas after the RPD felt very new to explore and barely bear any resemblance to the remake. The story also takes some different turns and has different details compared to the remake, but the overarching story remains pretty much the same. I did find the final section of the game a bit lacklustre compared to the remake as the tension doesn't really translate well in the old format. Nothing is really breaking down and there are very limited monsters in the final section. The final fight for each character also took no effort at all. Music is great though. It adds tremendously to the vibe of the game and amplifies tense situations and good scares. I found lickers a lot more fun to deal with compared to the alpha hunters in the original resident evil, as most enemy behaviour seems improved since then. Overall, this game holds up very well to my standards of an enjoyable game and certainly is worth the purchase to experience this classic.
