This is a neat game, but I cannot recommend you play this directly on Steam, get this mod off moddb and play that instead, and just buy this game to support the devs who made this. Rekkr is a rollercoaster of highs, lows and downright atrocious. First four episodes were really solid, 4 being my favorite. Episode 5 is ass and can die in a wildfire: bland textures, ugly map design, dickish enemy placement and more. The Steam version has some performance issues as well such as lag spikes, frame drops, a broken map and a broken secret. I give this game an honest 6/10, could be higher honestly, but that last episode was just downright BAD.
Its a Doom mod being sold as a whole new game. level design is often nonsensical and down right annoying, with little to no indication of where you are supposed to go and what are you supposed to do. Low enemy variety for too many big maze like levels Even lower weapon variety Not a single weapon feels fun or satisfying to use Its not a terrible game, there's relative fun to be had here, but I cannot recommend this game. Unless you are a hardcore shooter fun like me, there's nothing to see here. Just move along. (Keeping the review positive because steam doesn't have a more ''indifferent'' option.

Zeker kopen!
This standalone game/mod running on the GZDoom engine is a hidden gem. The custom sprites, weapons and environments are excellently crafted and the midi music fits the game well. This is one of the few games that doesn't have annoying enemies, while except the flying eyes which resurrect enemies, but they easy to deal with. The only "negative" I have is that the story isn't in depth but that is to be expected from games during the 90s which this game takes inspiration from but it has a satisfying conclusion so I'd give them that. Overall if you like Doom or any first person shooters I'd highly recommend you give this game a try.
Unimpressive level design, and wea weapons mixed with incoherent asset design. I've tried playing this a few times, but before soon I get bored by those initial aspects and just uninstall it. There are much better doom/heretic clones out there, not even worth the low price when you can get better experiences right here on Steam on the same vein for free.
OK, scrap my previous review and recommendation. This game blows, even if it is old school gaming it adds nothing to even entice you to play on. The map design is AWFUL, it looks like levels put together on a fast pace with no intresting things to do or find. DO NOT BUY(especially not at full price).
If Heimdall was a FPS
buy it
This Ultimate DOOM TC, now commercially released as an IWAD! If you love Norse Mythology, go play it!
The build of GZdoom that this game is bundled with crashes in full-screen because it tries to open on my second monitor and ends up freezing. It open's fine on my personal copy of GZdoom though.
