#tinygamereviews
Red. Dead. Repeat. An appropriately-difficult, super-red, arcade-style bullet-hell shoot-em-up that'll only hurt your eyes a little bit. Some of that difficulty can be attributed to the color palette of projectiles blending in with the background, which has caused many a game over. It'd be cooler if you got more lives per game (or if you could unlock an option to have more, somehow), but the pacing seems adequate; if it were much easier, there'd be less incentive to pay closer attention and git gud. Overall, it's one of the more fun games of its kind I've played for a while. The great lo-fi/chiptune audio enhances the arcade-like experience. I appreciate the effort here, but as some others have already mentioned, it both looks and feels fairly generic and dull. I wouldn't say that it's a bad game per se, but it's not unsimilar to how I feel about Space Moth DX when being compared to newer shmups by 1CC Games. This game doesn't hold up very well when compared to many other shmups made by Panda Indie Studios. I'm not exactly a fan of the unskippable dialog during the final level (there is even a part where players have to wait around doing absolutely nothing for about a minute before the final boss). I'm also not a fan of the fact that you lose your current weapon if you lose a life. This is especially an inconvenience during boss fights when you have to rely on the default pea shooter weapon which hardly deals any damage. This can lead to boss fights dragging on for several minutes. What I would have preferred would've been getting to keep the weapon after losing a life, but the weapon gets downgraded a level instead of just reverting back to the default weapon instantly (for example, if a player loses a life with a level 3 laser equipped, they would respawn with a level 2 laser. If they get hit again, they will respawn with a level 1 laser. If they get hit again, then they're back to the pea shooter). I would even prefer the equipped weapon getting downgraded to it's base level instantly after losing a life as opposed to reverting back to the default pea shooter immediately. In Conclusion; This game is far from bad, but it ultimately does not do anything to stand out, especially when compared to other games by this developer. If you have played any other game by this developer but have yet to try this one but are considering it, you might end up a little bit underwhelmed.
Un juego bastante dificil y entretenido por el modico precio de 1€ Algo simple y retador para pasar un buen rato.
A fun shoot'em / bullet hell game up. The colors seem a bit aggressive at first, but you quickly get used to it. It is hard, fast and punishing. Perfect for some quick action and frustration-screaming.
Almost unplayable for me
fun
Red Death is a solid budget bullet hell that punches above its weight for the $1 price tag — the four-color retro aesthetic is charming, the boss patterns are genuinely creative, and the focus/overdrive mechanics give it some depth. That said, the weapon balance is noticeably skewed toward the laser, and losing all your powerups on a single hit can turn boss fights into a frustrating slog with the pea shooter. The unskippable dialogue and that baffling stretch of doing nothing before the final boss really kill the momentum. It's not going to replace your favorite shmup, but if you're a fan of the genre and want something quick and cheap, you'll probably get your money's worth.
弹幕游戏嘛,难度高点没什么问题,不过我还是感觉…毕竟是弹幕战啊,红配绿的界面,这样的配色打弹幕真的大丈夫?
