Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.43/day in the week to Jul 30 → 4.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This was never one of the games I played as a kid back in the day. The bright side of that is I have no nostalgia goggles for it, and it really is a special game. Absolutely dripping with early 2000s charm, like playing a game based on an amazing YTV show. The shining parts here are the theme, humour, and voice acting. This game had me chuckling constantly, and I burst out laughing on several occassions. It crosses lines you wouldn't expect, and definitely shows a bygone era of what used to be appropriate for kids. I really can't stress how consistently funny this game is. The theme is really interesting, diving through different people's psyche, seeing "what's going on inside their head". It makes for very interesting and wacky world and level design. basically like you're playing through their dreams. My main gripes would be that I very quickly found the collect-a-thon aspect to be quite boring. While finding bag tags to sort through their "emotional baggage" and collecting "figments of imagination" were initially funny and very on theme, they made for SUPER boring collectibles with no real meaningful reason that made me want to collect them. Probably about a third of the way through the game I stopped focusing on them at all and just enjoyed the story and humour. Other than that, the controls and some puzzles/levels in general made for some tedious design that got a little grating, but overall nothing too awful on that front. I got it on sale for somewhere around $2 CAD hoping for a decent old school platformer and was pleasantly surprised by a game full of charm and humour. Would absolutely recommend to anyone who's interest is piqued by it.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

One of if not the greatest game that I have ever played in my entire life. The characters, the humor, the powers and abilities, the levels, and the platforming are all so well put together. There was never a time where I was bored as I always had my butt clenched between my cheeks all throughout my 27 hours playthrough. Even at times where I was constantly backtracking and just tracking missed collectibles and gathering them, I was always engaged. And yes, I 100% this game. It's just that good. If you're into funny, goofy but entertaining characters, if you like interesting and unique levels, and if you especially enjoy platforming then I reckon that you give this game a try. After finishing the game, it quickly rose to my top 5 most favorite games and that's saying a lot since Skyrim isn't even in my top 10. Will ABSOLUTELY be buying Psychonauts 2 when I get the chance.
Loved it.
I hate platformers
Jogão da época do play 2, fica ainda mais lindo no pc pela resolução mais alta, super recomendo pra quem gosta de jogos de plataforma e temas sobre a psique humana, fora que lembra muito um filme animado dos anos 2000

I'm giving Psychonauts a "no" not because it's downright bad or because I didn't like it at all, but because other people have already praised it enough. Somebody has to dunk on it. Here it goes.
1. TOO MANY CURRENCIES
You know how every AAA game nowadays has a million different currencies you have to collect, all of which you can buy with real money? Well, Psychonauts takes it to a whole other level, except there are no in-game purchases. Instead, you have to collect currencies, some of which you ultimately trade in for other ones. Doing this is not optional.
There is one part where they straight up tell you to buy a certain item before continuing on.
This would be fine if collecting currencies were fun, but...
2. THIS IS NOT A COLLECTATHON
I believe the reason Psychonauts has so many currencies is because they originally wanted it to be a collectathon like Mario 64. The problem is, a collectathon isn't literally just about collecting things, despite the name. In order for a collectathon to work, it requires fine-tuned platforming mechanics, something this game lacks. You can tell they tried before ultimately giving up years into development, because it becomes more and more story-focused,
except for one excruciating level near the end where you enter a circus
.
3. THE STORY SUCKS
As the game becomes more and more story-focused, the story also becomes more and more painful and tedious. It has its moments, but it is just far too dragged-out.
In particular, there is one level where you enter this theater that I absolutely detested. The monsters in the theater have the most annoying voices. Furthermore, there is no interesting gameplay to speak of. You just have to pull this lever over and over again and try different things out until you finally figure out what you're supposed to do.
All of that, and yet I'm still planning on getting Psychonauts 2!
loved every moment<3
This game's PC port genuinely sucks. Controller support does not exist, the UI is a nightmare to navigate, and theres no ultrawide support. I am the Milkman, my milk is delicious. Special delivery today! (Throws molotov cocktail and kills a school of children)
