I enjoyed this game a lot, even if traveling between areas started to annoy me near the end. The platforming is easily the most awesome part, and I was able to overcome obstacles that would have been easier with abilities I didn't have yet. The combat was decent too, and it kinda has to be since there's a final boss. I even did some time trials, which was pretty fun and unlocking the outfits was a nice reward for it. I didn't do all of em, but I did at least half. I think the lack of a quick way to travel between areas is what started to grate at me when looking for where to go next, but when I made progress it was easy to ignore. Overall, I liked this game SPOILER: It's very easy, at least for me, to miss where the Golden Keys go. Make sure you go to the very top of the Tower Remnants.
A really fun first experience for someone who has *never* played a Metroidvania before. I tend to get lost in games (and real life) pretty easily because I'm kinda r3t4rded, this, however, didn't matter much in Pseudoregalia. The different areas are spaced/interconnected well enough for me to remember "that path takes me to this place". Overall, very well made map design. The movement is also just the right amount between "complex" and "satisfying to pull off", my personal highlight is barely triggering the Major Key spawnpoint in The Underbelly without lowering both levers. Speaking of those, the puzzles/progression is also really intuitive, but not perfect. As I did have to look up a guide once I got to a certain point because I wasn't sure if I was missing a mobility tool (I was, indeed, missing one, trying to brute-force a specific hallway was the reason I have 6.5 hours of total playtime). Pseudoregalia really rewards the player for trying ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, because one in a thousand of them stick to the wall. But it also has good exploration, so you don't *have* to keep being stubbornly fixated on breaking the game sequences. The enemies and combat, I find somewhat lackluster, but the final boss was good enough to tip the scales in their favor. Still, you get nothing from killing enemies aside from farming your buff/heal meter. Which is fine by me. It did however feel clunky at times, but that never became an issue big enough to make me dread encountering enemies. Now that the real review is over, Sybil, I want you to step on my balls.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Ehhh, platforming is fun, but the reuse of the same texture within areas is hard on the eyes.

Short and sweet, a little tough to know where to go sometimes but luckily bouncing around the levels is quite fun anyway.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I initially sat down and played this game for real. What I got was a game that feels mostly like a proof of concept for a really good idea rather than a complete experience. This game's movement is incredible. When you collect all the core movement skills you can spend hours just bouncing around the walls and what not. It's a blast. I love it. This is very clearly the focus of the game as enemies are kinda just there and you almost never HAVE to fight anything. If anything, enemies exist just to refresh your magic meter. I found it strange that the game had boss fights at all, as there isn't any part of the game where they expect you to refine your skills with the combat throughout the game outside of the two bosses in the game. The first of which will probably catch you a lot with it's dead angles and the latter of which jumps the difficulty by a surprising bit. One major gameplay point of contention I need to point out is the wall kick mechanic. It's extremely exact in what it wants from you and has ALWAYS been the reason I failed a jump or movement puzzle. Sometimes it's fine because there's enough space to mess around with. The tutorial that is mandatory to do after getting this upgrade has a brutally difficult room for you to clear, which at this point, you are not experienced enough to do it cleanly. It's rough. The narrative is also just, not there. There's certainly a lot you can interpret but you get so little in terms of dialogue that what little you do get there isn't any real indication of who Sybil is, what her goal is, why she's here or anything like that. I'm not upset that the story is so light, but I would appreciated a lot more context. Overall, I think this game is worth your time. It's not long, it's very fun to play in the moment to moment gameplay and if you aren't looking for anything more than an action adventure game with fantastic movement, you will be happy with the end result. If you're hoping for context, stakes, and good combat, you'll probably be dissapointed.
Very similar to Mario 64, in a sense where the dev put all of their effort into the main character movement system which feels absolutely incredible, but the rest of the game is kinda lacking. Most levels, while very satisfying to jump and glide through, lack visual character which makes it kinda confusing where you are and where you are going, and remembering pathways through which you couldn't get through before was not my favorite thing. Still, this game is very good and deserves its recognition.
