Reviews
I’ve only played an hour, but I have a good idea why this game has a high rating (96% positive reviews overall): Interesting map and enemies, nice puzzles in PS1 style. You explore a series of rooms connected together. Some rooms are for you to visit later after gaining new abilities, you need to look closely and pay attention to understand where to go. Exploration and combat both require climbing and sliding, but the movement isn’t that smooth, and some objects are not reliable like during the first boss fight, I used a pillar as cover and to my suprise, the boss hurt me through it. After a few attempts I defeated that boss and got a key, I later found another identical key, made me think the game mechanic is collecting keys to unlock doors, with different puzzles and enemies in each room. The puzzles are generally enjoyable, including control switches and moving platforms. Enemies are distinctive too, I especially like that gramophone and statue of hands enemy that shoots out lasers. I should probably spend more time with this game, but I kept falling into the abyss and die. Even the checkpoints are common, the repeated failures eventually defeated my patience. For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

positive critical· bar length = how often the theme comes up
I got into this game a bit late obviously, but I was instantly addicted when I picked it up. It has quickly become one of my favorite games. Sybil has such a memorable, cute, and powerful design. The platforming is punishing, but not overly difficult. The music is great, never found myself wishing I was out of an area because of the music despite how long you can end up spending in some of them, and some of them are absolute bangers (especially the final boss theme). There's not a whole lot to the story, most of it is through environmental storytelling, with a little bit of dialogue support, but that's not what makes this game fun; it's the gameplay and the absolute freedom of this game. The only restrictions are your own limitations and, of course, like any game of its style, you can only go so far within the games intended exploration without upgrades. My only complaints are as follows: -Too short; especially with a lot of the outfits only being attainable late-game, there's not a whole lot you can do to enjoy your time with them. Plus, it look a day of dedicated play to get through most of the game, and it's a really fun game and I simply want more -The complexity of the movement system interfering with inputs; the complexity isn't really the issue here, it's my own limitations and skill that are the issue, but it does happen frequently that certain techs interfere with other techs due to using the same buttons, but in a different order. It means you have to be very precise and intentional with your inputs -No map markers of any kind other than some area transitions; not so much a complaint as a minor gripe, but it can be difficult to remember where you want to go back to if you end up taking a break for a few days like I did due to just life in general. A lot of other similar games have implemented some form of map marking for this reason. Over all, though, those complaints are pretty minor except being too short, but compared to its price, the length is completely fair. I got about 11 hours or so of gameplay, just screwing around, messing up (a LOT), and trying to collect everything. I, admittedly, ended up having to use a guide both to get myself unstuck (being unsure where to go to progress) and to make sure I got everything, but I got most of the collectables on my own just from exploration. Again, now another fav for me, and I'll be replaying some time soon.
As someone who's not a big fan of metroidvanias or 3D-platformers, this was a pleasant surprise. The movement mechanics get incredibly fun as you gain upgrades and exploring the game world kept me addicted enough to have to struggle to stop playing at times. At best, the game almost feels like a more technical Mirror's Edge in third person. My only critiques are not having any nudge on which direction to go to at the beginning and the map not having any real indications on what is where nor can you mark your own notes on it. This means you absolutely should not have any large breaks while playing, because forgetting the map will make exploring and advancing very frustrating.

Banger game, good movement, big suggest
It's a fun metroidvania platformer with a retro low poly coat of paint. The visuals aren't the only throwback, as you are placed in a world with little to no explanation or story, a lot is up to interpretation. It helps create a mysterious vibe and allows for no hand holding to get in the way of exploring. The level design and movement are superb and compliment each other nicely. It's very satisfying once you get a rhythm going and parkour around the world. The combat isn't the best but the highlight is really in the platforming, though the final and only boss is admittedly a bit lackluster. That said, this was started as a game jam project and it's very impressive what was created in such a short amount of time. It's easily worth the full admission if you are a fan of the genre. I eagerly look forward to future endeavors from the developers.
