Lego Indiana Jones, such a lovely game released around a simpler time of gaming. Does it still hold the test or is it outdated? I'll tell you.

Talk about what genre this game is, how it plays.
Lego Indiana Jones is a LEGO TT game, for some who've already played atleast one or two before will instantly understand what this means. If you don't, let me help you. TT Lego games are built to be simple, to re-enact stories in the form of a platformer collectathon; you collect studs, minikits (bonus collectables), postal bricks (to unlock modifiers that make the game easier or funnier), and characters in numerous levels. This being an Indiana Jones themed one, you will play in the first 3 movies, each having 6 levels that bring you to several locations. Every time you beat a level, you unlock its free play mode, in which you can come back to the level to find collectables in secret spots and bonus areas. The target audience of this game is 7+, but more adults than I can count enjoy it too!

What’s fun about it?
If you enjoy collecting stuff and having a simple time, that's enough for me to say you should buy this. The game is easy, even supports a co-op mode to play with a friend (over local play, online play is not supported sadly). In each level you jump around, destroy LEGO objects, follow a simplified version of the story and solve simple puzzles. If you're up for it (as mentioned in the previous category), there's enough bonus content for when you finish the levels.
[u] Why should you not buy it? [/u]
If you're expecting something modern that is free of bugs and will immerse you, you should probably turn back. Even though this is a good game, it has its shortcomings in variety and can become tiring if you were to binge it. It has less bonus content compared to the other games, but depending on your views that can be a good or a bad thing.

I love this game. Truly, I've had so since I was a kid back in 2008, playing this on my Xbox 360. Even now, it holds me entertained especially when I want to relax with my Steam Deck, its just the perfect type of game for it. I'm a bit saddened how there's so little ways to expand this game though. Mods only change how characters look, and there are no ways to add or make new levels for example. Lego Indiana Jones 2 handles this MUCH better, but in turn ruins its story mode.

- This game does not run properly above 60 fps, the higher your fps, the lower your characters jump.
- No official windowed or borderless windowed mode.
