Prototype™

desperately needs an update or at least a disclaimer that this game will NOT run on modern hardware without a workaround. with that said, prototype is an incredibly fun game. the aesthetic alone is something im obsessed with, and while the story is a bit of a mess it doesnt matter too much because i dont care! its classic overpowered chosen one MC with amnesia tries to piece together his dark and mysterious past, theres just enough pieces for things to probably make sense if you care about it but even if you ignore the story its still really fun to go around stabbing zombies and blowing up cops while you backflip off a skyscraper into oncoming traffic and slaughter countless innocent civilians. the stealth sections are decent, the combat is incredibly fun and engaging, the progression system is just as if not more engaging, and (most) of the boss fights are cool as hell. i have some really fond memories of picking up a car and seeing how many civilians i can punt with it in a row when i was a kid, and replaying it as an adult i can confirm its still just as fun as i remember. the graphics are a bit dated, but the game literally came out in 2009 and i honestly think it looks incredible considering the time period. highly worth the purchase if youre willing to use one of the many guides on how to get it running properly, though generally id wait for it to go on sale instead of getting it at full price

Underrated. Pure nostalgia for me and still holds up great even in modern gaming.
