About
Pro Philosopher 2: Governments & Grievances is the long-awaited follow up to the Flash hit Socrates Jones: Pro Philosopher, once again challenging the player in a series of interactive debates with brilliant thinkers from across history. Master logical moves to untangle argument puzzles, find internal contradictions, and cause your opponents to freak out!
Shifting the focus from moral philosophy to political philosophy, Pro Philosopher 2 presents a new story and new philosophers, with plenty of overblown comedy and drama.

Ariadne Jones has no time for distractions: not the party downstairs or the debates on TV, and definitely not the weird philosophical afterlife she gets pulled into every time she sleeps. But when her estranged mother arrives in that very realm, she's forced to tackle all the questions she's been avoiding. Questions like: what is the ideal government? Oh, and IS MY MOM DEAD?!
Pro Philosopher 2 frames its gameplay with a personal story, delivering a juicy mix of political machinations and family drama— brought to life by a cast of over a dozen colorful characters. Whether you are dealing with your party hardy college roommate or Anime Karl Marx, each cast member has their own motivations, expressive art and animations, and more than a few quirks.
You don't have to have played the first game to enjoy Pro Philosopher 2... but hey, the first game is free. As is the first chapter in our demo!

Pro Philosopher 2 challenges you to find weaknesses in a wide variety of increasingly complex arguments, but you will not be unprepared! Use specialized questioning tools, based on real reasoning techniques, to cut through ideas with precision:
Press for Clarification : What does that actually mean? Make vagaries less vague and complicated ideas more accessible.
Ask for Backing : That's a nice assertion you have there, Senator, what's your source? Reveal unstated assumptions behind seemingly simple statements.
Request Connections : How does this connect to everything else you are saying? Bridge logical gaps and banish distracting tangents!
Challenge! Turn your opponent's own ideas back on them by hitting them with their own core premises! Or, you know, just tell them that they smell bad. Who knows. Maybe it will work out for you?

da prince guy be funny
Reminded me of my political philosophy class last semester. Content was very surface level and took simplified views of the speakers presented but you kind of have to adjust your expectations when you download the funny haha ace attorney philosophy game. It's not meant to be serious!! Game is also funny and well-written but there were a couple 2018 millennial humor moments for sure
I think this game is awesome, therefore it is! In all seriousness, an excellent smorgasbord of political philosophies that could not be better picked to help navigate through the questions of "Why is it so hard to elect a good leader?!". And it's decently funny to boot.

The Pro Philosopher series is an edutainment game series where you debate dead philosophers. While it tackles political topics, it is less interested in providing answers and is more interested in giving the tools that are necessary in critical thought. For every philosopher that you debate, you are put in the reactive role of examining arguments and using their own logic against them by pointing out internal consistencies. This is done repeatedly through 1) asking for clarification, 2) asking the philosophers to back up their claim, 3) asking the relevance (or pointing out irrelevance) of their statement, and lastly, 4) by challenging their statements by pointing out inconsistencies and gaps in their claims. The game is Socratic at its core. It is an approachable and entertaining introduction to philosophy. And is great for encouraging young teens, students, or anyone unfamiliar with philosophy to engage in critical thinking. Those who already know philosophy may still find it a charming, humorous, and refreshing exercise. There may be nitpicks to make, bit it's exploration of the philosopher's thoughts are adequate even if it's not that deep.
Kéž by takových her bylo víc. A pozor, ono je :)
如果这个游戏属于九年义务教育必修课的话,我不敢想互联网环境会多么好。
或许这个游戏就是做出来印证最终boss的想法的
Fantastic depiction of several political philosophies. And funny too.
So good!! I personally like ethics more than politics, but this game is still overall better than the first one. The story is more interesting, the debates are better thought-out, the art is prettier and the dialogues are funnier (I laughed out loud several times!!). And I also really ike the final message. Great game, definitely recommend it!!
I love the socratic method of reasoning part 2
After the first game, I wasn't sure how a sequel could be made without rehashing the same arguments. Boy, was I wrong. This is even better.
