Pro Philosopher 2: Governments & Grievances

I enjoyed this! I wasn't completed sold on the final debate initially but I enjoyed getting to demonstrate what I'd learned over the course of the game. An interesting premise for an Ace Attorney style visual novel that taught me some basic philosophy.

Behold! Imagine! A fictional world where ideas fight instead of people: the Intelligible Realm. I don't like visual novels but this is the deal. It's not just more informative, but easier to actually reason instead of brute-forcing your way through dialogue options.

A fun deduction puzzle, an interesting story with likeable characters, and a light intro to political philosophy, all packed in one game. Yes, it oversimplifies some ideas, but you can't realistically expect anything deeper from a game you're meant to finish within a few hours. Totally worth its price, and I can't wait for the 3rd instalment!

So much substance and education, and so much great humour! One moment I find myself struggling to find the (designed?) gap in whatever world-famous important theory the other laughing out loud at the dumbest jokes. Pro Philosopher games are classics for a reason, and will always be, and this is a great sequel. <3

This game is fantastic. This is the sequel to the Original Pro Philosopher, and I was engaged and enjoying the experience throughout. If you liked the first game, I highly recommend it, and if you haven't I recommend you play the first one as well since it is free. The art is more polished, the music is very good, and I like the story. This is a great educational game if you want to learn a bit about philosophy. I recommend this game to anybody who likes the Ace Attorney series.

Beautiful visual novel about debating 7 timeless political philosophers. The arguments feel logical, and the replies coherent to me, so I didn't feel there was option mashing to brute force solutions. The dialogues/chapters each last about 30 minutes, perfectly bite sized educational pills for a classroom. The game occupies little space, and it features many character animations that made it feel polished. It didn't drag on, and I felt it had a satisfactory ending. Perhaps the selection of philosophers skewed western, but that doesn't remove the rellevancy of their arguments and historical context. 9/10

There's really no reason not to play this game. It's short, it's fun, and you'll probably learn something. Perhaps more saliently, the first one is free and you can go play that one, and if you liked that one you'll definitely like this one. If you didn't like that one, you STINK and you're a covert authoritarian.
