In Prey, you awaken aboard Talos I, a space station orbiting the moon in the year 2032. You are the key subject of an experiment meant to alter humanity forever – but things have gone terribly wrong. The space station has been overrun by hostile aliens and you are now being hunted.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 8.71/day in the week to Jul 30 → 4.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Best Immersive-sim ever, masterpiece. Space station is a puzzle and you have a big tool shed to solve it. Nice NPCs and a big story.
Such a unique and unforgettable game.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 15: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

RIP Arkane. You were misunderstood, mismanaged, and underutilized. Genuinely created some of the most unique and greatest games of all time. Prey 2017 is such a wonderful experience conceptually, narrative and gameplay wise. Yes, the game is quite jank at times. But I would argue that it's part of the charm. Getting a sci-fi sandbox where you can tackle scenarios many different ways was such a wonderful treat. The final act needed to be tightened a bit but it's not as bad as people say it is. We could have had Prey 2 by now. You will be missed.
Not so great as pure FPS, it is more like Deus Ex, System Shock. Requires quite some inventory/item management, I did not quite like recycling/crafting as it felt needless and tedious. Story was ok. Thankfully you have plenty of choices in terms of difficulty.
Bioshock in space
Another great game from Arkane that had been sitting in my Steam library for way too long. The game gives you a ridiculous amount of freedom. Tired of saving humanity? Just hop into the escape pod, and launch it. Of course you'll probably reload your save a minute later and keep playing. Yep, that's actually an ending. It has a bit of that Resident Evil resource management vibe. Ammo matters, crafting matters, although I barely bothered countering enemies with grenades and still got through just fine. If you're an Arkane fan, you probably won't be disappointed. There's a strong horror atmosphere throughout the game, especially with the Mimics. Even after hours, you'll still be suspicious of every random coffee mug sitting on a desk. Hacking computers, snooping through people's emails, and slowly piecing together what happened on Talos I is surprisingly satisfying. The retro-futuristic art style still looks fantastic, and the sound design does a lot of heavy lifting. Unfortunately, you can also tell that support for the game didn't last very long. Every now and then you'll run into bugs or situations that feel like nobody ever thought somehow strange for the immersive sim. They're not game-breaking, but noticeable. Almost ten years later, Prey is still an amazing game that has aged remarkably well. And that final sequence is worth finishing the game. Instead of giving you a boring statistics screen, the game remembers the choices you made throughout your playthrough and uses them against you in the very last moments. It's a fantastic payoff and one of the best endings I've seen in this kind of game.
