A fun trip through the last decade of events in the form of a boomer shooter, starring Postal Dude. The focus of this is the themes, the art, and the humor presented by RWS's Postal Dude. There's been plenty of world events, groups, and memes that happened in the last decade. Having the Postal Dude poke fun at that in the familiar Postal style made me smile plenty of times. As for the gameplay, it'll be familiar for most boomer shooter players. Running around arenas with a grappling hook shotgun, bullet deflects, and more. Boomer shooter players can feel confident in their ability to play and can enjoy the art more. There might be a few things you haven't seen before, which might make your gameplay more interesting. Don't get too excited about seeing new things. Loosen up, play a familiar genre, and take a look back at our history with some Postal style humor.
Postal + Doom = Brain Damage
Отличный бумер шутер! Такой, каким и следует быть. Помимо грамотного оригинального духа Постала, умело впихнули и передвижение DOOM/Quake, и секреты с триггерами волн врагов из Serious Sam, и даже немного левелдиза уровня Psychonauts. Оригинальных дух - игра как и обычно является "самым омериканским", чем только могла стать. Столько стереотипов и сатиры большинство игр себе не позволяет: хоть дерущиеся между собой Мексиканцы с Шерифами, хоть ачивка "JFK" за хедшот из снайперки по главному злодею DLC (сами догадаетесь). Визуальный стиль отличный, выдержан грамотно, с высоким FPS не диссонирует. Сеттинг подобран отлично: любой нарративный и левелдизный выкрутас подходит с лёгкостью, так как сон обоссавшегося больного на голову (бувально) Чувака может выглядеть буквально КАК УГОДНО. Но вот некоторые решения в дизайне уровне откровенно спорные, хотя в общем и целом их можно простить, ибо POSTAL - это не отполишенный до микронов проект, а заведомо местами корявый и колючий. Техническая сторона местами расстраивает, все лифты с радостью продавят тебя out of bounds, игра грузится со второго раза, а выход в меню после успешного прохождения уровня НЕ делает новый сейв на новом уровне. И ещё в паре мест на локациях откровенно застревал, что пришлось перезапускаться... В Таблице лидеров откровенные читаки, уж лучше бы не позорились и вообще не реализовывали. Сюжет, как и полагается, полное говно, но аргумент уже был выше: это Postal. Аудио: музыка огонь, а озвучка Чувака настолько тупая и надоедливая, что спасает только полное выкручивание в настройках на минимум. Лучше бы он просто молчал - "за умного сошёл") В общем и целом очень доволен, хоть не 10/10, но точно на личную золотую игротеку потянет.
