Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.86/day in the week to Aug 28 → 1.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Inspired by SWAT 4 and gritty police TV shows, Police Stories is a fresh take on top-down shooters with an emphasis on tactics that forces you to make split second decisions. Neutralize criminals, rescue civilians and defuse bombs in Single Player mode or Online Co-op. And remember - shooting first is not an option!
Unforgiving and tense, each mission tells a story of two police operatives - John Rimes and Rick Jones, filled with infiltrating gang hideouts, rescuing hostages, making arrests and other life-threatening situations.
The Surrender System allows you to apprehend the suspects without resorting to violence. Fire a warning shot near them or engage them in melee combat - those are just some of the ways you can make them submit.
Issue commands to your fellow cop Rick Jones. Make sure to use him wisely - and who knows, he might save your life in return.
Randomly placed criminals, hostages and evidence make every level run unique. The placement changes every time you restart, leading to new interesting situations and opportunities.
As a law enforcement officer, you will have access to end-of-the-line police equipment, such as under-the-door cameras, door blast charges and many others.
Various types of lawbreakers, from small petty criminals to well organised gangs and terrorists. Each type has not only unique weapons, but different behaviour and shooting skill.
Complex Tactical Gameplay: Try not to get spotted, don't waste bullets, regularly check your surroundings and make sure to take criminals down quietly.
All your actions are scored in real time. Playing aggressively won't get you a high enough result to start the next mission - so keep that in mind!
Co-op. Complete mission together for better scores and more fun!

Police Stories is a refreshing take on the top-down shooter genre, especially if you’re looking for something more tactical than trigger-happy and want to mix up your shooter library. It’s a great couch or online co-op game that constantly walks the line between "elite operator" and "accidental friendly fire." You can approach missions methodically: clearing rooms, issuing commands, and planning your entry, or kick doors down and deal with the chaos that follows. Both styles will lead to some memorable moments. There’s a nice variety of weapons, gadgets, and perks to tweak your loadout for different scenarios or playstyles. The level design deserves a shoutout too as each map feels intentionally crafted with multiple paths and objectives that reward strategy and experimentation.
You can probably beat the game in 3.0 hours if you play on Easy (read: the enemies lack the perfect aim and the Counter-Strike camper tier reaction times) and use the pepper spray and the glitchy taser gun extensively. In fact using pepper spray makes the game much more fun because it lets you completely subvert the need to wait for enemy reactions and lets you make them insta-submit as soon as even one molecule of the spray hits their face. That is a super easy way to get the A+ ratings for every mission reliably Playing the game without the pepper spray makes it much more tedious and much less fun. The movement controls are stiff. The controls are probably the main reason you ain't gonna return to play this game besides maybe multiplayer. There are tons of Steam Workshop user made maps to play, though. I'd guess they will at least double the expected play time you are likely to get out of this game. Enemy melee range is much longer than what the graphics indicate. An interesting observation is that in this older main game the companion AI is much worse than in the three-mission free prequel Police Stories The Academy. In fact the companion in this game cannot even use the pepper spray for some reason even though it is equipable. The Academy AI was quite competent and could beat missions on its own with little help required from the player. I got this game from a Fanatical giveaway. Kudos to the amusing video by ItsAGundam titled "Tango & Jackash: Police Stories stream archive" about this game. That is probably the single best thing that came from this game.
Awful game, trying to please PC and console jockeys and messes this up. Controls are awful, partner constantly moves into line of fire and can not stay put. I am a PC player and i am appaled at the lazy implementation clearly not aimed at mouse/kb. also, in solo the "partner" is more a burden than anything else. Not wasting any more time on this infuriating experience.
Tedious to play.
its an ok game and a pretty good coop experience well which is the only reason i think is to play this game
