It's clear that a lot of effort was put into this game, but the result is very mediocre - the gameplay formula just doesn't work well. It may have looked great on paper on the game designer's desk, but when it was made into a video game, the gameplay turned out to be very boring and repetitive. Plus, the game is very easy - I play on the second of three difficulties, and in 25 hours not only have I not failed a single mission or lost a single operative - I have never even been close to failure. I completed 100% of the missions in which I participated without raising alarms or shootings (except for the story ones, where you are put into battle conditions), stunning and kidnapping every enemy agent I encountered. I do not recommend buying this game on any sale - there is a very high chance that you will simply waste time on it and abandon it out of boredom in the middle. And you will live with a feeling of unfinished business. Like me.

Was sie bedeuten? Okay. Aber was genau entscheidet, was passiert? Keine Empfehlung.
I went into this game expecting XCOM experience but with Cold War era spies. Here's what I experienced: - For a game that came out after XCOM and XCOM 2 it has worse graphics and the operatives look as if they belong in a game from 2002. Customization is laughable with very limited options. - You got twice if not triple the actions an operative can do but they are all grouped in such a weird and clunky way. Actions such a Stabilize for example being there when...there's nobody to stabilize. Why? Place for me only the actions that can be applied. - Game says "concentrate on stealth" ...Fine, the stealth when it was there it was good. But when you end up in a mission that starts with an ambush tell me in your infinite wisdom how am I supposed to concentrate on stealth then? - The shootouts are just plain designed to make you ragequit, no amount of save scumming can save you. You enter a fight, ambush or otherwise - kiss those operatives goodbye from the getgo. - Why in all that is holy on some weapons require not just a shoot action but also costs a MOVE action?! Whose "bright" idea was this? Move actions is for MOVING, shoot actions is for...you guessed it...SHOOTING! Who brought this as an idea and all got "Yeh...that's a good idea!"? Dumb gabagool. - I may not be a game designer but I proud myself to be pretty grounded when it comes to common sense so riddle me this why does it show me it has a cover system (similar to xcom) and it doesn't work at all?? If it's not implemented why is it even there? Only visually exists to give me some false sense of hope. No matter what, even in full cover, guaranteed damage? And here comes the worst and biggest offender of them all which made me "That's it, f u!"- Enemies shoot and hit you from across the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ map and I...cannot? WTF is this bs? My guy was shot by 3 enemies from the dark edges of the map, from full health to a literall spit of health and when my turn came - no enemies in range? Ex-efin-cuse me?!? They tried to reinvent the wheel with this one and as AngryJoe's famous quote : You done ♥♥♥♥♥♥ it up! The problem isn't lack of strategy, the problem is game mechanics designed to make a masochist out of you as I've already seen that happened with a bunch of people who are basically on the bandwagon of friendlier way saying "git gud kid". Naaah nah. You wanna be a masochist that's your choice, I'll move on to something else that doesn't actually punish me for the fact that I want to have a good time. I am not talking about "I only want to win, I die in game and game bad" no. The very least as a gamer I want more or less even playing field even if it's more upscalled against me as Xcom can be on hardest difficulty. Here in Phantom Doctrine I am rolling a rock 60degrees uphill with the whole hill covered in vegetable oil. No thanks. Even if you get this garbage for free you are still duped.
a little XCOM 2 with a little 1990s commandos. Very complex for ironman settings. Nice overall, I recommend.
Does not work. Don't buy.
The game was actually cool when it worked but there's an issue where it currently crashes on launch and apparently this issue has been around for a while without being fixed. I don't recommend getting this in the meantime considering you'd be buying a game that doesn't currently work.

I like spy theme, but I must admit that this game is garbage. Xcom parody that you should avoid. xD > Headshot doesn't work even if you stand up close right behind your target and target has no armour.. Do devs expect me to use a sniper rifle from up close distance to get a kill, really? Or, are we still fighting aliens?? > Quiet incapacitation available and it is way more effective than all firearms, but you need to reroll lvl-up rewards for 10min to unlock it.. xD Devs didn't think at all about lvl progression. They just slapped a dice roll on it! This is retarded considering that most weapons and perks are useless in this game. You need at least 2 silenced weapons to silently take down 1 UNAWARE and without armour target, if you don't get incapacitation perk. > If you don't want to reroll lvl-up rewards to avoid completely useless perks, then you will need to roll/reroll mission rewards until you get a workshop upgrade that decrease "heat" to decrease loud gameplay penalties. If you get the lucky rolls or rerolls, the game is ok, you match the scaling difficulty. If you get useless rewards in lvl-ups and mission rewards, you get stuck in endless grind to recover from punishments. :/ Sad devs didn't care about progression and released just a mix of ideas.
