It's alright. Ran into quite a few bugs, and ultimately wish that there was more to it. Glad I got it on a really steep sale.
Overall a really cool take on terraforming with soft automation + infrastructure design. This game also has a compelling (or at least thought provoking) story that provides color between building factories and balancing your resources. For an older title, this is a solid 8.2/10. My only two critiques are (1) there should be some QoL updates to help with efficiency + a x32 or x64 speed to get past long periods of waiting around and (2) additional milestones after you've completed the main story to help motivate you to keep playing like achieve 1 million pop or get to exactly Earth-like atmosphere. Definitely worth the $20 if on sale.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It's really good. There are some QoL issues but it shouldn't keep you from enjoying the game or finishing it. There are some situations that I've noticed people in the forums complaining about and blaming the developers like runaway O2 production for instance. You can recover from it and there is no need to quit or restart. Use your head. If you can't figure it out then cheat a little and read some threads. It seems to me that EVERY runaway terraforming issue is solvable. You also have to intentionally sabotage yourself to do poorly. Just restart and stop being terrible and always play at 16x speed no matter what. A couple of obligatory early-game restarts and you will be primed to beat the game easily. Minor bugs aside it's an amazing builder. 100% get it on sale though. Screw paying full price for anything these days. Hoard toilet paper or chin diapers or maybe buy your wife's boyfriend something nice like some sportsball tickets or something so you don't have to sleep in the shed.
Great game, definitely triggers my hyperfocus! Very enjoyable as a multiplayer co-op, surprisingly rich in lore for this genre as a single player game. The Blue Mars DLC is an absolute must, especially for the completionist. There's one soft-lock bug at the end of the campaign. It's possible to work around it by waiting for the game to autosave, closing out of the game, and then resuming the last save. Still, I hope this will get fixed soon.
Slow paced management game with the goal of terminating mars. Not the most in depth colony builder, but the story was engaging even if i expected more with its conclusion.
yeah
I absolutely love the UI in this game. Actually its aesthetics are the main reason why I play this game. Unfortunately tho, the gameplay is shallow as a pudle. It gets boring very quickly and remains boring to the very end, however, I must admit that seeing as Mars slowly becomes blue and then green planet is very satisfying. I'd give it a neutral rate if I could, but I can't. In a scale 1 to 10, I'd rate it 4 so I'm giving it a negative, even if it's not that bad
Стратегия с сюжетом, как давно такое делали?) В общем затянуло с разу, любителям терраформирования рекомендую.
Per Aspera was a hidden gem I stumbled upon by chance, and it completely captivated me. The story and voice acting are phenomenal, drawing me deeper and deeper into the experience. It made me reflect on profound questions about identity and what truly defines me. Because of the immersion I felt, I really connected to the characters, I was happy to get the ping here and there from earth. Sometimes it meant trouble, sometimes it meant just.. experience. As a strategy colonization game, I found it thoroughly enjoyable. It's not overly complex, with all the necessary information presented in a clear, digestible way that makes planning and decision-making feel seamless and rewarding.
nice game - fairly addictive...
