Did 2 playthroughs of the story mode, don't feel like starting a new one or trying other modes. Here are my reasons: -completely useless combat aspect, no tactical depth, no variety in military building or units -terraformation falls into the FM (f#king magic) area of technology, so some fantastical elements are fine, therefore I can forgive addition of hyperloops and space-elevators aka other FM technologies. What I cannot forgive is outright Elon Musk d#ckriding, which is marginally present in the story dialogue. -I thought the biggest scientific strenght of this game is the atmosphere mechanic, that all changed when I found when the pressure meter goes to infinity. For some reason overoxygenation is a problem but colonists operating in lung crushing pressure is fine. -the game doesn't need a story -simplistic dialogues, over-emotional delivery and rapid, unnatural character arcs -the game doesn't need a story -the whole story feels like a cliche commentary on philosophy of AI and free will -the game doesn't need a story -the logistics don't actually matter, you just place buildings down and start projects -no matter how mismanaged my colony was, all it lead to was delay, not failure. Hard to enjoy a game where losing is impossible.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

great relaxing game
First 9 hours. I've risen water levels enough to sink some of my structures, get some green on the surface, and become my own worst enemy. I sure hope crashing this moon into the surface won't create any regrets.
This game is broken. It started quite well, but has now been changed so much that it does not work. A real pity as there is a lot of potential here. Maybe give it another year to get fixed.
It's a poorly made game. The story is painfully predictable and uninteresting, and the narrative choices that are being made are just weird. The interface isn't great, and a good 80-90% of the game is just... waiting. Waiting for O2 to increase to a certain level, or research to complete, or N2 to increase, etc, etc. A lot of the systems are very opaque as well: I have 50,000 units of housing available, literal lakes of water available, hundreds of units of food in reserve, yet my population barely rises about 8000 no matter how many Spaceports are assigned to immigration. Couple that with just buggy implementation of features, and I strongly recommend against this watching-paint-dry-simulator. Here's an example of what I mean by 'buggy implementation': By the end game, you will have researched Space Elevators. In order to place a Space Elevator, large quantities of different materials will need to be brought into space via your spaceports. You can reduce the wait from "are you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ kidding?" to just "jfk.... ok..." by assigning multiple spaceports to the building of the space elevator. After a soul-crushingly long time (at 16x speed), a button will finally appear in your UI (right at the bottom middle of the screen) that says "Space Elevator". However, you may not be able to place it, because Space Elevators *also* count as Spaceports, at least with regards to the total Spaceports you have on the planet. So you find a Spaceport that you probably don't need any more, mark it as salvage and then ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ WAIT SOME MORE for the drones to empty out the reserve of materials that make of the stockpile of the ex-Spaceport (because it still counts against your cap until the pile of rubble is fully emptied). Finally, after all that is done you look for a somewhere to place your Space Elevator. You pause the game (this bit's important, note that the game is paused), click the button, and then just as you go to place it, you mis-click on a spot and place it in the wrong place. "No biggie", you think, "I'll just scrap it and place it in the right place this time. Just like I do for every other building in the game." But... Once you scrap it and the building vanishes... The Space Elevator button DOES NOT REAPPEAR. It's gone. Pissed away. Never to be seen again. Until you go through the whole 30min (or whatever the ♥♥♥♥ it was) process again. The person responsible for this decision should never have creative control in a videogame ever again.
I like this game in terms of its presentation and management system. I expected that i would need to look after the human population and fullfill different needs for them like in anno. Thankfully i did not need to babysit the population like in other games. Furthermore i needed multiple hours until i realized that all powersources are safe, do not have an upkeep and that the only difference is the built cost to power ratio. The game is besides some other smaller details quite simple and intuitive. I had my fun building out my colony, the story events are manageble (i expected them to be more difficult but this is likely because i played games like Frostpunk or Ixion) and the experience of the game is overall more relaxed. I tried playing another playthrough but it feels more like a one time and done game since i already knew the exact outcome of events and how the planet changes. The mods and dlc of the game of the game are nothing too major but i can recommend them. The extra content is mostly about adding extra buildings especially for better transportation and are thus optional.
It's fine. Has some good ideas, but the end result is "fine". Don't worry about how your cities look. It will always form a blob of buildings and streets running all over the place. Looks awful, and resources reach where they should eventually anyway. It has some combat, just make a blob bigger than your enemies and throw it at them. Transport of stuff is a serious problem in this game. Because this is ThE fUtUrE, you can't have a train, truck or any reasonable medium of transportation. You have pods. Each pod can transport ONE resource through ONE road, so resource transport is slow and bottlenecks are frequent. Just add more pods to the blob until flow of resources resumes, so not a terrible thing. The problem is the hyperloops. They are ALSO pods, just faster, so they suck and are usually a bottleneck. Put normal roads on top of the hyperloop, and normal pods will transport resources that the hyperloop going and coming full speed trasnporting ONE RESOURCE EACH TIME just can't. The Blob keeps growing. If you ever wondered why we don't have hyperloops, play this game. Besides that, there's some cool ideas here, but the core of the game is... fine. It's fun for a while. Oh, also, the plot. It's also fine. Promises a lot, but I feel it doesn't do a lot and it kinda ends.
Overall a really cool take on terraforming with soft automation + infrastructure design. This game also has a compelling (or at least thought provoking) story that provides color between building factories and balancing your resources. For an older title, this is a solid 8.2/10. My only two critiques are (1) there should be some QoL updates to help with efficiency + a x32 or x64 speed to get past long periods of waiting around and (2) additional milestones after you've completed the main story to help motivate you to keep playing like achieve 1 million pop or get to exactly Earth-like atmosphere. Definitely worth the $20 if on sale.
