Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.43/day in the week to Aug 7 → 1.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This port is just sad. I was incredibly happy to finally have Patapon games officially on PC, and while I basically managed to complete Patapon 1, I have already made up my mind to give it a negative review. I'll play the second game as well, but I doubt my mind will change. The visuals are very good, another HD remaster had some hideous graphical artifacts, this one seems free of them. Sound stands out as the OG quality, very crunchy, no idea if it was touched at all. Gameplay seemed fine for the most part. Then I got to the second last level, which is well known to be very easy, and somehow, YEARS later, it stumped me. My entire frontline was getting obliterated before I could deal enough damage. Curious I started looking around, and found on the steam forums a mention that it was a bug related to higher framerate, some enemies can attack multiple times faster or throw many more projectiles, than originally. I thought there was no way, so I checked a PSP playthrough on YT and the enemy I was fighting was firing his high damage spark once per turn, while in my game he would zap me like 4 times in a single turn. Actual 4x difficulty increase. This alone was not my problem, the bigger issue is that the forum post explaining this bug was from July last year, and any updates from the devs stopped in December, apparently never fixing this issue. So not only is fundamental mechanic broken in game, but it is left abandoned for over half a year, where paying for a remaster leaves you with an inferior product than if you just emulated. When I learned that Patapon 2, as usual, had to have its multiplayer stripped from the game, it was just a cherry on top of this s***t-cake. Made all the more sense why P3 is not on steam, removing MP from that is deleting half of that game (although it didn't stop rockstar from releasing RDR1 with no MP, so who knows). It's too late for me to refund the game, and while I will push through and complete these games, I will probably never go back to it, unless fan patches manage to fix all the problems in a more streamlined way, than it is to just emulate this game (or even pop out my actual PSP with barely working circle button). To the devs who ended each of their post with "Thank you for the continued support of the game", I wish I could say the same to you.

Now I remember why I stopped playing this game on the PSP back in the day. My timing is absolute buns. Still, it's a cute and fun game TUNG TUNG PATA PON!
Over a year waiting for the developers to deign to release a simple update so my controller buttons show up on the drums instead of those awful arrows. If these games weren't so beloved, they wouldn't have the rating they currently do. Go play Rattan instead. Thanks for nothing.

While I encourage everyone to try it and decide for themselves what they think. I had to put it down personally. I remember being a kid and watching my brother play this game and thinking it looked so fun so I was really excited to get it myself. The art and music is adorable and I could listen to it for a long time Unfortunately its been more tedious than enjoyable. Mini games are very particular/time consuming and not very rewarding in what you may receive from them. Materials required to strengthen your army are difficult to come by and easily removed entirely by a boss that kills your newly made individual. Level specific "Miracles" only last a short amount of time and so need to be done repeatedly in the same level which will also ruin your fever streak, and a personal issue for me is just keeping track of each of the individual patterns but I imagine that's not a general issue. I wish I had the patience to stay with it but I dont think I do
Glad Bandai Namco revived this on PC. I played this a lot on PSP and was tired to emulate it after my PSP was broke. This is absolutely a 10/10 rhythm game that stays with you forever. Please Loco Roco next :)
I had concerns about the audio sync that is constantly referenced, but either they have been improved or my two systems haven't triggered those issues. And it scales surprisingly well onto a big screen! It's enjoyable, it's scalable... it's extremely slow and repetitive, but it needs *just* enough attention and focus to be strangely meditative which is exactly what i need from a game this week.
