Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.43/day in the week to Jul 30 → 0.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Painkiller is one of those games that almost everyone will tell you is good, but very few people have actually finished—for good reason. It's a classic case of style over substance. Painkiller absolutely nails the vibe: the art direction is fantastic, the soundtrack is excellent, and the overall aesthetic is memorable. But the developers seemed to forget that gameplay should come first. If you take Quake, strip away its dark atmosphere and stellar soundtrack, you're still left with a great game. The game isn't exactly bad, but it's incredibly clunky and sloppy. It feels like the developers either didn't have the time to properly test and fine-tune it, or they didn't really understand what made the games that inspired them so good in the first place. For example, you move very slowly despite fighting in huge arenas, so the game practically encourages bunny hopping by letting you chain jumps just by holding the space bar. But then it litters the levels with physics objects and random clutter that constantly block your movement. On top of that, the level design often becomes extremely linear and mechanically awkward. Take the opera level, for example, where you're forced to climb a narrow staircase while fighting enemies whose AI clearly wasn't designed to navigate that kind of environment. As a result, movement becomes messy very quickly. The weapons don't complement the gameplay either. Take the Stake Gun, your primary long-range weapon: its projectiles have severe drop, which doesn't pair well with the game's constant bunny hopping—especially considering how inconsistent many enemy hitboxes are. Landing long-range shots often feels more like luck than skill. Most of the secondary fire modes are equally strange. The Stake Gun has a grenade launcher attached to it... why? And the grenade's blast radius is actually larger than the weapon's effective horizontal range, which makes the whole thing feel bizarre. Nearly every weapon suffers from this kind of design. Everything prioritizes looking cool over actually playing well. The AI is so poor that the game literally gives you an arrow pointing toward the last enemy in an arena because it's usually stuck somewhere. The weapons sound awesome on paper, but many of them are awkward to use, and several overlap so much that they barely have distinct roles. The maps are huge simply for the sake of being huge, with very little flow or thoughtful level design. Even the boss fights look spectacular but are mechanically underwhelming. This game fooled a lot of us back in the day. Want more proof? Look at the review scores for the expansions. The original fooled people once, but the expansions didn't get the same free pass. It's not all bad. The game is gloriously dumb, and the brain-dead, over-the-top combat can be fun in short bursts. The atmosphere is genuinely enjoyable, and I'd say it's worth playing for a couple of hours. Just don't be surprised if you put it down before reaching the end—especially since the second half of the game feels noticeably rushed.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 8: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

I do not advise playing this on a smaller screen, you will have a much better time playing this on an actual gaming monitor rather than a gaming laptop screen, thank me later. That said, this is one of my favorite shooters of all time. This feels like if we got a real grim Quake 2 instead of that sci-fi only game. This has everything you would want in a Quake game and then some. The story isn't as great as the atmosphere and gameplay in my opinion. You play to beat the level the story takes second place as it isn't a horrible story but you only notice the story once per chapter so it doesn't take you out of the action for long and believe me there is plenty of action. The only gripe I have is the Military Base Level is hard as hell and some of the secrets in this game are very hard to access in my opinion. If you want to get to them easier there is a grapplehook mod for your Painkiller weapon. That said there are multiple mods for this game that you can download and enjoy. This is a game that is really fun but difficult to master. I hope you'll enjoy playing this game as much as I have!
I really tried to enjoy this game, but it just sucks. There are much, much better shooters out there. This is the epitome of mediocrity.
This game was pretty popular back in the mid 2000s, but a series of shoddy budget sequels (thinly disguised expansions, in reality) pretty much killed long-term good faith towards the series. However, Black Edition is still an amazing time, and is one of the best FPSes of its decade. Great graphics and performance, killer soundtrack, fun arcade/boomer shooter style gameplay all combine to make this a lost gem of the genre.
At first it seemed good, but it gets boring and s.h.i.t.t.i.e.r. And the boss-battles are a mess! A lot of time, you have to do ridiculous things to hurt them. Playing it as a young teenager was kinda fun, but playing it as an adult is bad. It feels like an unfinished game for me! And the problem is not me, it is the game! Serious Sam games are still fun to play, even the older ones, like First Encounter! The problem is that Painkiller games are just not as good "massacre-shooters" as Serious Sam games are or as they should be! Well, let's be honest: Painkiller is kinda bad! The story is laughable and c.r.a.p, the gameplay is a meh at best. The only good are the battle-music while you fight. And that is just not enough to be a good game!
Painkiller je střílečka z pohledu první osoby z roku 2004 od herního studia People Can Fly. Navíc Painkiller vyšel před Doom 3 a Half-Life 2, což byly hry, jejichž marketing sliboval, že přinesou revoluční fyzikální engine. A stihl to ještě o něco dřív! Catherine jde do nebe, Daniel skončí v očistci.
