- Playtime: 9,5 hours (tutorial + ~6 games) - Played: 2026 - Context: I love 4X but don't really care for Civilization. Intro Ozymandias is a strategy game in which you pick one of up to 10 different types of civilizations and try to accomplish a number of goals like "own X areas" or "have X power". Gameplay consists of annexing areas, moving land/sea units, doing research, building/growing cities and balancing food/research/wealth/power. The map consists of hexes, each with its own cost to conquer. This cost can be reduced with area-specific research (plains, hills, sea, etc). Each type of area gives food/research/wealth which can be increased with research. Hexes owned by opponents can only be conquered by amassing more power there with at least one unit. Review As you can tell from the intro, this is a fairly simplistic game. No variety in units, no buildings, no real tech tree. Factions are identical aside from some bonuses/maluses like "X tech costs more" or "cities cost more/less". Regardless, it is still entertaining enough for a couple of games. It's not something you'd want to play for hundreds of hours like the Age of Wonders or Endless Space/Legend series, but a nice in-between game.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

[Neutral review] It's nothing like Civilization I'm pretty good with math, but I still struggle with this game as it requires deep calculations and planning There are also RNG factors that make some games impossible to win I'm barely winning and learning the game You're either 100% efficient or bust Not a game for everyone
Very primitive game
Ein schönes schnelles Spiel! Es ist rundenbasiert und macht eine Menge Spaß!
.
Solid 3x game (no exploration). You can't compact the Civ experience into an hour, but this game comes close.
