Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.57/day in the week to Sep 4 → 0.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This is my first OOTP game so I come at this from a newbie who loves baseball. This game is great i get to run my favorite team all the way down to rookie. The show is fun but this game I can really run my team any way i want. it might be a retread from last year but if you haven't played before love baseball and like to manage teams this is a good one!!! Edit: online mode is ok I'm not going to play it much but I can see the fun I didn't spend any money and won my first season it was fun to get on and see how the last few games went and you can win points to buy packs.
When it comes to baseball games, OOTP 27 is one of the best. It's a great baseball sim, and I get to play my favorite team: the Montreal Expos, in historical mode. I even roleplay as them, in Perfect Team, my favorite multiplayer option of all the games I own. The more I play, the better the cards I get rewarded with. I just received starting pitcher, Bryan Woo, a 100 Overall card! Just by playing, and only paying for the price of the game. Can you believe it? I still can't believe it. Thank you so much, Com2uS and Out of the Park Delevopments!

For reference, before playing OOTP 27, my most recent version was 25, and I've played since 15 with over 4000 hours of play time over the years. For OOTP 27, I would say this game had great potential with some of it's new features rolled out, and I think with more fine tuning, these features could become needle-movers, but as of now, some of these features still need more fine-tuning, and in my opinion, actually take some realism out of 27 more so than in previous versions. Trade AI Trades between AI teams were happening very, very frequently to the point that there were multiple trades happening every day of the season. I had to set trading frequency down to the lowest possible setting to return trading to somewhat normal levels. I did notice an uptick in the realism of trades being offered, so that was great to see. General AI Team Management + Decision Making More quality players than ever are getting put on waivers for other teams to claim in 27. Even if you play on HOF difficulty and limit the amount of trades/signings you can make, you can pretty easily put together a decent roster by paying attention to waivers, especially at the beginning and end of each season. I wish the AI weighted placing a player on waivers as a much more negative action to take and only does so if a player is out of options and truly has no place on the roster. Placing and claiming on waivers is much more rare in real life than it is in the game, where you can frequently find 50-55 rated players on waivers with options left. I also came across a completely unrealistic scenario where a team won the world series (albeit with an 84-78 record), and then immediately fired their GM a few days later when the offseason began. It's a small detail, but something like that really takes you out of any realism the game is portraying. Draft Details I was very happy to see the draft pool portrayed in a much more realistic way for 27. Gone are the days of twenty to thirty 70-80 grade potential players at the top of the draft, and now you're lucky if you get more than one or two 70-80, which is the way it is in real life. My only other ask for the draft would be to set a hard cap on the amount of money that each team can spend, like in real like with slot allocations. That would force players to develop actual strategies in the draft. Do you sign underslot in round 1 to go overslot in later rounds? Or maybe overslot early on a HSer and then go college senior signs afterwards? Just adding hard slots would add so much more depth and customizable strategy to the draft. Advanced Metrics [u/] The advanced stats are a solid addition to the game that adds another layer of depth. No complaints here. Overall I look at 27 similar to the way I did 24. 24 just seemed rushed and more un-refined than it should have been. But the next year, OOTP 25 was a super solid game and one of my favorite versions. 27 is a bit of a disappointment in my eyes based on the hype it was getting pre-release, but if 28 can tighten up some of the loose ends in terms of realism and continue refining the in-game AI, then I have high hopes for 28.
I wish that a neutral or comme se, comme sa review option was available for steam reviews, as that is where I think the 2027 version of Out of The Park Baseball belongs. The 2027 edition does hold some ambition in the sim department, with a new in game sim overlay. The downside is that not much else has improved in this version. It does feel that Perfect Team Online is becoming the next NBA 2K MyTeam, as much of the current time is now spent making changes there and leaving the overall product unchanged. The NBA 2k comparison is not a complete negative, as 2K 26 is one of the most solid sports games around otherwise. With a few tweaks in the management options for 2028, Com2us can have OOTP back as the best sports game on the market.
This game is VERY VERY VERY complicated, but once you even slightly get the hang of it, it is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ENJOYABLE
I think I died in an accident cause this must be heaven.
my entire organization became pitcher depth and when I thought "ok at least if theres injuries im fine in the pitching department" they all got injured and none of my prospects went anywhere 10/10
This game is highly addictive. The year to year changes are subtle, but then how would you change perfection. There are many way to play the game. My favorite is to use the historic ballparks add on, and play various seasons from history but with a twist. I schedule an inaugural draft which makes all players free agents in the draft pool. and then draft my own team from the players from the chosen year. In some years it is best to draft an amazing pitching staff, in others power wins the games , and still others base hits is how to dominate.
10.6/11
This is an odd one - one of those times I wish Steam had a neutral button, but I'll give it a thumbs up for one reason. Despite its flaws, the game is still sort of addicting and very easy to play in short bursts. If you're playing this sort of game, you already find fun in building a franchise or sustaining one. I haven't played in a few years, and honestly, I can't tell a major difference between this and '24. Things the devs need to work on: -Trading dynamism and logic. Trading in this game just isn't fun. It's constant garbage offers, things that make no sense for your team, every opposing team wants the same guys in counters. There's no texture or context at all. If I offer an overpaid vet to a rebuilding team, they should be able to say something like "this contract sucks but we'll take it on for some decent prospects at SS and SP" or whatever. Not just "NO! NO!" all the time. If a contender wants my best SP, there should be a little note saying "we're going for the World Series this year, name your price". This should be a core part of the game and it really feels like an afterthought. -FA logic is similarly ridiculous. I had Kaz Okamoto on my team for a year at $14m or so and he did well. He was asking for a giant 6 year contract for an extension, then in FA. Then randomly the next day he signs with a team. Fine. I look at the contract and it's for 1 year, $10M. Huh?? There's instances like this constantly that make NO sense from a financial or team perspective -In a similar vein, there need to be more tags for teams rather than just "rebuilding" or "win now". It would help with overall GM context. -Scouting needs to be a level deeper at some point rather than just "request scouting report" and spitting the same sort of thing back. I think the added stats are great - RVs, advanced stats, etc, are fun to comb through. I don't think the UI changes are that bad. This is still the best management sim out there for sports. I'm not sure it's worth the $50 asking price, but at $30ish or less, if you like this sort of game, you should totally get it. I'm just hoping we'll see some improvements to some of the core elements, because if they do, this is a game worth hundreds of hours of your time.
