I very much enjoy OOTP. I have played the franchise since 2016, and find the GM functions of trading for and developing players, as well as the mechanics of choosing lineups, and making tactical, in game decisions is realistic. The animation is basic, but it gives the game flavor as to what is actual happening on the field. I recommend the game. I have noticed some oddities-my players often don't swing on 2 strike counts when there are runners on base. The game can be stubborn on trades (you can override that function as Commissioner, but that seemed unfair to me). Sometimes, the game gets on a roll of hits in an inning, and no matter what you do-visiting the mound, or replacing the pitcher, you cannot change the trend. so, i wonder if the game is pre-scripted at times. Net, this is an enjoyable game if you have an itch to manage a MLB team
Look, it's really simple. Do you like baseball? Do you daydream about running a MLB team? Do you wish that dynasty mode in MLB the Show was better and more in depth? If you answered yes to all these questions. Play this game and say good bye to sleep because you're about to play 10 seasons in one night. You're just one rebuild away from a dynasty.

No one is gonna read this review so Im just gonna leave this here... I blowtorch dogs alive.
I've put in over 280 hours into this game. I was a big fan of OOTPB 23. I wanted a more updated version with the international FA process and the developmental lab. It's a difficult process putting all the pieces together in these types of games. This Meta makes absolutely no sense. No matter how good your team is, how stacked your coaching staff is, how good the chemistry is, and how good you are at developing skill sets to match your team. You're going to battle to be .500. It's super f**king frustrating. I'm in season 4. I'm done! I'm going back to 23.
내가 우리팀 감독보단 투수운영 나은듯
Overall I am pleased with the game. In the interest of making it a better experience I offer the following observations: Far too easy to steal bases. The throw out rate for catchers is way below the major league average in the 2024 season. When I control substitutions I would expect my warming up relief pitchers to continue until I sit them down or put them in. The computer sits them down and when I need to subtitute the pitchers are not warmed up. The passed balls and wild pitches are way too frequent. I do like the game and play it almost everyday. I would recommend it to others.
