Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.14/day in the week to Aug 15 → 2.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Single-player mode does not work properly offline. At least two crucial features don't: selling placed traps (no money gets refunded) and unlocking new trap upgrades (progress does not get tracked at all). There is obviously no technical reason for this other than a myopic attempt at DRM. Playing while connected to the internet fixes this, but I encourage you not to support this kind of anti-consumer practices.
From here, the series goes downhill imo. If you want to play any of these games alone, play the first. And if you wanna play OMD with a friend, play the 2nd. I still don't think this game deserves a negative review, cause it's not terrible. The 2nd is just better. So buy this if you want more of what you enjoyed in the 2nd, and you'll get an okay-ish version for more of the same type of gameplay.

At the moment this game is completely unplayable offline. When offline, selling traps doesn't refund money. Also buggy at times where clicking doesn't do anything (eg I want to buy a trap, it takes several clicks to register). The game is fun for me personally when these issues don't arise, but due to these game breaking bugs I won't recommend the game to others.

powerful statement
You get to play as a hip young African American teenager that throws out quirky reddit one liners every time he performs an action, and when you finish a level he will do a cool TikTok dance as hip hop music plays in the background Is this a joke? Did 4chan make this game?
Starving simulator. The game gives you a bread with a bit of dirt inside and it tells you to use that ♥♥♥♥ to defend your rift crystal. After you deploy 2 freaking breads, you're out of money. As the waves come, you finally build a cool defense and BAAAM. The map is over, now you're starving again and eating ♥♥♥♥. Deal with it. Now pay money to get a new campaign with 3 or 5 maps.
