Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Aug 25 → 1.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

horrible horrible game. first one was okay, this is all the bad stuff amplified. holy heck what a bad action game.
didn’t like it :( but you probably will :)
Inferior to the first entry. The characters each get one line of introduction and then get thrown around from level to level chasing 5 McGuffins. The level design is worse. Whereas the first game had a little tinge of horror this game does not and instead got 80's Kung Fu movie humor added. Even though the camera here is fixed angles they somehow managed to make it absolutely terrible. Some boss areas are divided in like 6 sections each showing a tiny fraction of the place resulting in the boss being off-screen most of the time and you having to guess what it is up to. Don't know what the remaster added/changed so can't comment on that.

nice prep for way of the sword. couldnt be more excited
Didn't age as well as the first game. The fun combat is bogged down by. . . everything else.
Onimusha 2 is still an enjoyable game, but I don't think it reaches the same level as the first Onimusha. The original felt more focused with a tighter story and pacing, while this sequel sometimes feels a little uneven. That said, I do like the added RPG elements. The gift system, character relationships, weapon upgrades, and extra interactions add more depth and replay value compared to the first game. It gives you more reasons to experiment and see different outcomes. Overall, it's a solid action-adventure title that is worth playing, especially if you're a fan of the series. It may not surpass the original in my opinion, but it's still a fun experience with some welcome gameplay improvements. Recommended – 7/10.
I DEMAND remasters of Onimusha 3 and Dawn of Dreams! Now to this game: I really liked the first game, and I couldn't understand why the second one had a much lower rating. Now I understand lol. I can't recommend this game unless you're an Onimusha/Capcom or Japan-Fanatasy-Setting fan and want to play through the entire series. While the core gameplay is still good and the combat is fun, the developers experimented with the other systems and, in my opinion, didn't do a very good job. Namely, the gold, shop, gift, and companion systems. The problem is that the gold you need to buy gifts from the shop only drops in the gold mine. And both the mine and the shop are only available during roughly the first three hours of the game. After that, you leave the town and never come back. Gold doesn't drop anywhere else, and there are no more merchants for the rest of the game. And if you didn't know that you were supposed to farm the mine, buy all the gifts, and give them to your companions right at the damn beginning of the game, well, too bad. You won't raise your reputation with your companions, which means they may disappear from the rest of the story, betray you, or even die, and you'll miss a significant amount of story content. Which you literally only find out during the end credits, when they show you a list of the scenes you missed. That said, if you've read this and now know that you need to give out all the gifts before leaving the town, the game actually isn't that bad. But I’m still disappointed with this stupid system and the fact that the other games aren’t on Steam, even though Onimusha 3 was sold here until 2014 and Dawn of Dreams is available on PS5.
first half is good, second half is hitlers paradise
It's a mediocre game from the early 2000s, the story is nonsensical, the voice acting is pretty bad, and there's barely any puzzles to speak of. The combat is okay, but ultimately pretty easy and again mediocre. I'd probably give this a "neutral" review but since it can only be yes or no I'd have to say no. If you played this game when you were a kid in 2002 or whatever like I did then it's worth a buy for 15 bucks or whatever--otherwise play the first Onimusha or old DMC games, this one isn't worth it.
