Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.29/day in the week to Aug 22 → 3/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Old World is a historical strategy game where you lead your empire through multiple generations, building a grand legacy to last beyond your own years. This is an era of great leaders, from the revered to the feared. Which will you be?

Marry for politics, raise your heirs, and manage your relationship with the families of your kingdom. In the fast and furious world of kings and queens, family matters.
Each of the 7 kingdoms has four noble families that provide various benefits when put in charge of your cities.
Manage family ties through events, actions, and marriages to keep them happy and reap additional benefits. Upset them, or make them too powerful, and you risk their ire.
Maintain a strong family unit, or distract yourself with more illicit adventures.

The world is full of great characters with distinct personalities, strengths, and weaknesses. Use them to forge your kingdom, defend your borders, and build ties with other leaders.
Seek out and recruit famed warriors, philosophers, builders, and more. Have them tutor your children, lead your armies, and further your reign.
Different personality archetypes allow your court members to perform different tasks in similar roles. Find the right combinations to take full advantage of governors, diplomats, spymasters, and even your spouse.
Characters develop new personalities and traits over time, growing old, gaining experience, and finally falling ill and passing away, leaving room for the next generation.

Unsettled tribes, barbarian marauders, and remnants of previous cultures are all waiting in the vast unexplored wilderness.
Discover artifacts and great heroes of the past at ruins scattered across the map.
Experience over 3,000 unique events inspired by history and mythology.
Contact with foreign dignitaries triggers event chains, stories, and courtroom drama.
Pursue ambitions and legacies related to conquest, development, faith, and more.
Historically inspired scenarios, weekly challenge games, and a choice between randomly generated and handcrafted maps to explore. Lead Carthage to victory as Hannibal in the Punic Wars, hold your own against Barbarian Hordes, or compete against other players in tackling fictional scenarios.

Why do things the way they've always been done? Old World brings a new take to key elements of the 4X strategy genre:
Go beyond the traditional resources. Buildings are made of wood and stone, not "industry." Population doesn't grow off "food" alone.
Orders are a resource shared across your realm. Instead of moving every unit once per turn, each unit can be moved multiple times until fatigued or Orders are depleted.
Technological advancement is not predetermined. Randomization helps keep technology trees feeling fresh with each new playthrough.
Quality of life improvements, such as the ability to undo mistaken commands and nested tooltips, ensure you're always making informed decisions.
Play with friends in countless multiplayer modes — from hotseat, to asynchronous, to cloud play.
Experience a Grammy-nominated soundtrack blending Arabic music with contemporary influences.
Mods further open up infinite options for new worlds, empires, and dynasties — inspired by our real world, and by works of fiction as well.

So weit so gut!

Played for about half an hour. The "orders" feature made gameplay feel so awful that I made my first refund request on Steam. Normally I'll keep a game to at least provide some support for the devs... but not in this case. I also noticed a few other features that looked entertaining but would probably just irritate me in the long run like the family feature. Sure, it makes it more "realistic" to have them die off, but I don't find that fun. I'm sure mods could easily fix my issues with the game, but why bother when I've got hundreds of other games that don't need modding to be fun? Modding should be there to enhance a game, not fix fundamental problems with it. The good: The graphics are great and gameplay is smooth. It feels a lot like a typical 4x game, which is why most of us are here. The family feature adds another interesting aspect, a bit of story where there otherwise wouldn't be any. The game was generally well thought out, it just isn't for me.
Imagine a Civ style game, but you make decisions inside of your civ. I picked my beloved son to go to school and get educated to take over the nation with bonuses. He was loved, honored, and respected. I put so much effort into him and he was going to be a great leader.... Then my brother MURDERED him the day my original character died and he became the playable leader. Leaving me to control a nation that had a leader with terrible stats.... 9/10 only 9/10 because it will run my CPU hot while the AI makes their turns. Keep your head on a swivel and yes, your decisions matter.
столько хороших отзывов, + трейлеры к игре. думал будет очень крутая стратежка в стиле цивы, но увы это не игра а бред какой то
Ritmo de abuelo, Libertad de Norcoreana, divertido como misa de domingo.-
I tried, and tried a lot, to like this game. First, let me mention that I played this without any DLC, which I think only introduce new factions, rather than new mechanics. So, what is this game (or, what does it try to be)? It tries to be a Role Playing 4X, some sort of a mix between Civilization and Crusader Kings. Unfortunately, it fails on both accounts. I would compare this game more to Endless Legend for the 4X part and Thea - The Awakening for the RP part. Yes, the RP part is superficial. Anyway, it's not that those games are bad but Old World just gets to a point where it gets repetitive and, although there are a lot of good UI features, there could be others that would make the experience better. So, since most people compare this to Civ and CK, I will adress three types of players: - Those coming from playing Civ but want to give a try to CK but feel overwhelmed, this game is a good entry point - Those coming from playing CK but want to give a try to Civ but feel overwhelmed, this game is a good entry point - Those who have never played a 4X before, well, this game although seeming difficult, it isn't and it teach you the basics of any 4x. Anyone looking for deep and rewarding strategy, should avoid this game.

Multifaceted, intuitive, and didn't memory crash once
I can highly recommend this game. In my opinion, it ranks among the very best representatives of the 4X genre. The game introduces innovative mechanics, sets itself apart from established genre competitors, and offers considerable strategic and tactical depth, while its complexity always remains manageable. Furthermore, it convinces with well-crafted city-building elements and a strong AI compared to other titles in the genre. Another major plus is its high flexibility: the game settings and difficulty levels can be customized in great detail to suit individual preferences. The fact that the gameplay focuses exclusively on a single era is a clear advantage for me personally; this distinguishes the game from its competition, avoids the typical weaknesses associated with era transitions in the genre, and instead enhances immersion. It is a profound title that I enjoy more and more the longer I play it.
I'm getting in to Old World. Its great game with all the dlc installed. its hard to find good games, and Old World is a good game.
